A hybrid drive system includes an input shaft of an automatic transmission, a clutch, an intermediate shaft, and a first gear disposed on a first shaft coaxial with an engine output shaft. An electric motor and a second gear provided on an output shaft of the electric motor are disposed on a second shaft. A rotation of the engine output shaft is transmitted to the input shaft through the clutch and the intermediate shaft, and a rotation of the electric motor is transmitted to the input shaft through the second gear and the first gear. The intermediate shaft is supported by a first support wall through a bearing. The clutch is disposed between the intermediate shaft and the engine output shaft, and a front side of the input shaft is rotatably supported by a second support wall, and connected to a rear side of the intermediate shaft through a spline.

Hybrid drive device

A vehicle drive unit is provided which includes a hydraulic circuit capable of efficiently supplying a hydraulic pressure from an accumulator to a hydraulic servo while minimizing the capacity of the accumulator. In a hydraulic circuit included in a continuously variable transmission, an accumulator is connected through an electromagnetic switch valve to an oil passage connecting a clutch pressure control valve and a manual valve, a one-way valve for allowing oil to flow only in the direction from the clutch pressure control valve toward the accumulator and the forward clutch is provided in the oil passage. The electromagnetic switch valve switches an oil passage to a communicating state when the oil pump is driven and switches the oil passage to a shut-off state when the oil pump is stopped.

A hybrid vehicle drive device includes a clutch that transmits and separates a driving force between an engine output shaft and a transmission input shaft; a first electric motor having a first rotor that is connected to an engine output shaft side of the clutch; a second electric motor having a second rotor that is connected to an transmission input shaft side of the clutch; and a radial vibration suppressing device, wherein (1) the first electric motor is connected to the engine output shaft via the radial vibration suppressing device, and (2) the radial vibration suppressing device suppresses a vibration of the engine output shaft in a radial direction.

Hybrid vehicle drive device

A transmission for a vehicle includes a main transmission (M) and a differential gear mechanism (). The main transmission has at least two rotating elements () each set to a different gear ratio, and the differential gear mechanism has at least three elements (). There are provided first input means (C-, C-) which selectively inputs an input rotation to two rotating elements of the main transmission, and second input means (, C-) which connects the two rotating elements to two elements () of the differential gear mechanism and inputs the input rotation to the other at least one element (). Since an intermediate gear ratio with respect to an individual gear ratio is generated by two rotating elements at a time of simultaneously transmitting power to two rotating elements, it is possible to increase the number of shift speeds.

Transmission for vehicle

A vehicle control device controls an automatic transmission by utilizing road information stored in a navigation system unit. In response to the road information stored in a data memory, the upper-limit of a shiftable transmission speed range is determined, thereby allowing shift-change only within the restricted transmission range. The actual down-shift is carried out after confirming a decelerating operation by the driver, such as release of the accelerator pedal, thereby providing favorable transmission control in conformity with the driver's intention.

Transmission control device responsive to road information

A driving force controller for an electric vehicle calculates the optimal driving force of each driving wheel based on a formula in response to the detected wheel acceleration and the difference between the wheel speed and the vehicle speed, or alternatively calculates the optimal driving force of each driving wheel based on fuzzy theory by using predetermined membership functions pertinent to the wheel acceleration, speed difference and driving force in response to the detected wheel acceleration and speed difference. The driving force controller thereby controls the driving force of the driving wheel in accordance with the calculated driving force, and prevents slipping of the driving wheel.

Driving force controller for an electric vehicle with electric motors

A motor drive apparatus for an electric vehicle has a case attached to a vehicle body; an output axle which rotates relative to the case; an electric motor having a magneto stator secured to an inside wall of the case and a rotor which faces the magneto stator with a predetermined clearance and rotates relative to the case; and a planetary gear unit provided inside of the rotor and consisting of three components of a sun gear, a ring gear and a carrier. The electric motor speed is output from the output axle through the planetary gear unit.

A driving force controller for an electric motor vehicle which suppresses changes in behavior of a vehicle when a right or left driving wheel experiences trouble and detects vehicle conditions to independently control the driving force of each wheel so as not to deviate from a predetermined range. The driving force controller computes a driving force for each wheel in accordance to a demand value for driving force and a detected vehicle traveling condition to drive each wheel independently by electric motors. Motor drivers control the motors so that each motor generates power corresponding to the value of driving force computed therefor. A driving demand detector detects the value of driving force demanded for the vehicle and a vehicle condition detector detects a traveling condition of the vehicle. Wheel driving condition detectors detect conditions at the wheels. A computer computes the values of driving force to be provided at each wheel in accordance with the value of driving force demanded and the detected vehicle traveling conditions and corrects the values computed for individual wheel driving forces when a vehicle traveling condition or a wheel driving condition exceeds a predetermined range.
