A classifying rotor has a rotatable frame body and classifying blades. The frame body has an opening portion on an outer peripheral portion and an ejection port for ejecting a fluid having flowed into an inside through the opening portion to an outside. The classifying blades are disposed at a desired interval in a circumferential direction on an outer peripheral side part in the frame body. The classifying blades are provided in the frame body so that an angle formed by a direction of the classifying blade and a rotating direction of the frame body becomes a desired inclination angle. The desired inclination angle is an angle at which classification accuracy becomes better when the classifying blades are inclined so that the formed angle becomes gradually smaller from 90 degrees.

Classifying rotor and classifying apparatus

An apparatus for classifying fine particles in slurry provides a sharp particle size distribution with few mixed coarse particles and high classification accuracy. The apparatus includes a rotor () including classification chambers () between blades () radially arranged at circumferentially regular intervals, and classifies particles so that a classified particle size is constant in an entire radial region from an outer periphery to an inner periphery of the classification chamber. The blade () of the rotor has a circumferential thickness t(d) increasing toward the outer periphery, and the classification chamber () has a width increasing toward the inner periphery.

Classifying apparatus

A vertical wet stirred ball mill is provided according to this invention, wherein a slurry raw material fed from the top of the mill body is stirred together with a grinding medium in said mill body under pressure and the material is gradually exhausted from the bottom of said mill body as it is milled. A spring-loaded conical separation valve is fitted at an exhaust port of said body. The separation valve retracts when the pressure within the mill body is increased due to plugging, thereby the annular clearance around the separation valve is enlarged to increase the amount of exhaust, leading to elimination of the plugging.
