A control device for an on-board device including an actuator is configured to: supply power to a first microprocessor and a first driver circuit from a first power source through a first power supply path; supply power to a second microprocessor and a second driver circuit from a second power source through a second power supply path; and use the first and second driver circuits to drive the actuator. In this control device, the negative electrodes of the first and second power sources are electrically connected to a common ground portion. Specifically, the first negative electrode of the first power source and the second negative electrode of the second power source are connected to the common ground portion respectively through independent first and second connector portions.

Control device for on-board device

A control device for an on-board device including an actuator is configured to: supply power to a first microprocessor and a first driver circuit from a first power source through a first power supply path; supply power to a second microprocessor and a second driver circuit from a second power source through a second power supply path; and use the first and second driver circuits to drive the actuator. In this control device, the negative electrodes of the first and second power sources are electrically connected to a common ground portion. Furthermore, the control device includes a first and second sensor for measuring current or voltage between the vehicle body ground and the negative electrodes of the first and second power source, respectively. When detecting an abnormal current or voltage, the first and second microprocessors control the first and second driver circuits so as to place a limit on power supply to the actuator.

Provided is a vehicle control device which makes it possible, in a redundant configuration, to make use of a normally operating part in a failed system. A vehicle control device having a redundant configuration includes a task switching function unit configured to switch tasks to be executed when an abnormality is detected. The task switching function unit being configured to, when a diagnostic function unit determines that an abnormality has occurred in a unit of a host system, cause the unit of the failed system to stop calculation of control variable, and stop drive control for a control object, and then execute calculation other than the calculation of the control variable of the host system, and the drive control for an electric motor, so that the calculation unit of the failed system can take over at least a part of calculation of a normal system or another on-vehicle device.

Vehicle control device

A steering device includes: a turning actuator drive command signal output section to output the turning actuator drive command signal, a turning actuator drive command signal including a drive command signal, and a test drive command signal, the drive command signal being outputted to the turning actuator when the vehicle is in a first state, the test drive command signal being outputted to the turning actuator when the vehicle is in a second state, the turning actuator operation signal input section to receive a signal relating to the operation of the turning actuator, and the abnormality diagnosis section to judge whether or not the steering device is in an abnormal state, based on the signal relating to the operation of the turning actuator with respect to the test drive command signal.
