In a cleaning device for an electrophotographic copying machine having a cleaning member unified in structure by bonding a blade member and a holding member together by an adhesive, the improvement characterized in that a heat-sensitive adhesive having a contact angle with water at 23.degree. C. of 90.degree. to 100.degree. is used as the adhesive.

The present invention provides a cleaning blade for use in electrophotographic copying machines, facsimile machines, printers or the like which is characterized in that it has a double-layer structure and comprises a contact member made of a poly(urethane)ureamide polymer and to be held in contact with a toner image bearing member, and a support member for the contact member having the same hardness or substantially the same hardness as the contact member and lower than the contact member in glass transition temperature.

A tire having a tread, wherein a polymer component in the rubber composition constituting the tread comprises at least 30% by weight of a specific styrene-butadiene rubber produced by solution polymerization (S-SBR), and wherein the pattern of the tread has a specific contact area ratio, lateral groove density and lateral siping density is suitable for an all-season tire having high-wet grip properties, low rolling resistance, excellent low-temperature characteristics, and excellent on-ice and on-snow performance at a highly balanced level and with no sacrifice whatsoever of abrasion resisting characteristics.

A rubber composition, comprising from 20 to 150 parts by weight of carbon black incorporated in 100 parts by weight of rubber, said carbon black being a furnace carbon black having (1) a specific surface area (N.sub.2 SA) within the range of 75 to 105 as measured by the nitrogen adsorption technique, (2) the difference between said N.sub.2 SA value and the measured iodine adsorption (IA) being at least 15 (N.sub.2 SA-IA.gtoreq.15) and (3) the difference between said N.sub.2 SA value and the measured surface by the cetyltrimethylammonium bromide technique (CTAB) being not greater than 5 (N.sub.2 SA-CTAB.ltoreq.5), said furnace carbon black further having a dibutyl phthalate adsorption value (24M4 DBP) of not greater than 110 (ml/100 g) and a tinting strength (Tint) of 90 to 110, said carbon black having a storage elastic modulus E' of not greater than 12.5 MPa as specified by the ASTM-D 3191 method for carbon blacks.
