The present disclosure generally relates to providing auditory features. An example method includes, at a computer system in communication with one or more input devices: while playing an audio media item of a first type, receiving, via the one or more input devices, a request to play an audio media item of a second type; in accordance with a determination that a set of concurrent audio criteria is satisfied, concurrently playing: the audio media item of the first type; and the audio media item of the second type; and in accordance with a determination that the set of concurrent audio criteria is not satisfied: ceasing to play the audio media item of the first type; and playing the audio media item of the second type.

Methods and user interfaces for auditory features

A computer system outputs audio content via one or more audio output devices. If the audio content includes information that enables spatialization of the audio content, the system outputs the audio content in a simulated three-dimensional environment, including, if the audio content corresponds to a first category of content, causing the one or more audio output devices to simulate production of the audio content in a first virtual space, and if the audio content corresponds to a second category of content, causing the one or more audio output devices to simulate production of the audio content in a second virtual space that has different simulated acoustic properties than simulated acoustic properties of the first virtual space.

A method for headphone playback of target sound. Some of the bins of a sound file are accessed, wherein the sound file has several bins each bin storing a number of audio sections. Audio sections are selected from the accessed bins, and mixed while cross fading to form a target sound sequence. A headphone speaker is driven with the target sound sequence. Method and apparatus for generating target sounds

An electronic device includes one or more pose sensors for detecting a pose of a user of the electronic device relative to a first physical environment and is in communication with one or more audio output devices. While a first pose of the user meets first presentation criteria, the electronic device provides audio content at a first simulated spatial location relative to the user. The electronic device detects a change in the pose of the user from the first pose to a second pose. In response to detecting the change in the pose of the user, and in accordance with a determination that the second pose of the user does not meet the first presentation criteria, the electronic device provides audio content at a second simulated spatial location relative to the user that is different from the first simulated spatial location.

Devices, methods, and user interfaces for adaptively providing audio outputs

An electronic device includes a housing, a display at least partially within the housing, a cover positioned over the display and defining an input surface of the electronic device, a motion sensing system configured to detect a motion of the electronic device, and a touch sensor configured to detect, within a time window after the motion of the electronic device is detected, a contact of an input member of a user on the input surface of the electronic device. The electronic device is configured to determine, for a time prior to the detection of the contact, a relative motion between the input member and the input surface. In accordance with a determination that a characteristic of the relative motion satisfies a threshold condition, the electronic device may determine a second input location based at least in part on the location of the contact and the relative motion.

Embodiments describe an eartip including an eartip body having an attachment end and an interfacing end opposite from the attachment end, and including an inner eartip body and an outer eartip body. A wearable audio output device is in a respective physical environment and in communication with an electronic device. While one or more audio properties of the respective physical environment satisfy first audio criteria, the wearable audio output device provides audio output corresponding to the first audio criteria, the audio output including: audio corresponding to audio content from the electronic device at a first device-content audio level; and audio corresponding to ambient sound from the respective physical environment at a first ambient-sound audio level. The wearable audio output device detects a change in the one or more audio properties of the respective physical environment, and in response to detecting the change in the one or more audio properties of the respective physical environment, provides audio corresponding to ambient sound from the respective physical environment at a second ambient-sound audio level that is different from the first ambient-sound audio level.

A process for reproducing sound using a loudspeaker array that is housed in a loudspeaker cabinet includes the selection of a number of sound rendering modes and changing the selected sound rendering mode based on changes in one or both of sensor data and a user interface selection.
