A light bulb or fixture design is presented with dual types of light spectra (visible and invisible UV), having economic benefits stemming from the use of a single bulb, single bulb socket, and single fixture capable of providing selection of different spectra type illumination states and other types of adjustability with a minimum of additional bulbs, additional wiring, additional fixtures and additional instruction in use.

Multiple spectrum (visible and non visible) lighting with adjustable control system

A method and device for the remote eradication of pathogens comprising a light source for emitting UV light in the pathogen killing wave length range, and a tangible transmission medium, which is at least initially resistant to degradation by the UV light. An optical interface between the UV light source and the tangible transmission medium is provided whereby the emitted UV light is collected from the light source and transmitted through the tangible transmission medium, whereby UV light emitted from the tangible transmission medium and directed against a pathogen in proximity thereto is at a power level sufficient to substantially effectively kill the pathogen within a reasonable period of time. The device is used for sanitization of biopsy channels of endoscopes and for treating of pathogens within humans and animals.

Remote pathogen eradication

An electrical device with a power switch has at least two different electrical operational states and a circuit which detects a sequence of momentary fluctuations of power defining a First user message, corresponding to a change in state. The circuit implements that change in state in response to detection of the First message. Another circuit detects a sequence of momentary fluctuations of power, different from the sequence of the First user message, defining a Second user message and defining a fixed Reset electrical operational state. The device also implements a change from the current electrical operational state, to the fixed Reset electrical operational state. A memory circuit stores the current electrical operational state, a number corresponding to one of the countable numbers of electrical operational state, and provides retentions of its memory, including the stored current electrical operational state, during periods of power off.

Adjustable electronic control system

A light bulb or fixture design is presented which provides adjustability of color temperature, adjustability of brightness, and multiple location remote control in a scalable way that is thus ideal for retrofit installations, not requiring any rewiring, installation, or setup, other than insertion of light bulbs. Rather than using any Wifi, hand held remotes, or other RF communication links, operation is controlled using only the switch or switches that are part of the existing wiring. Operation is intuitive. It allows for unified dimming and/or color temperature control of extremely large numbers of bulbs of the invention without regard for heat dissipation limitations at the physical locations of control.

Adjustable lighting system

A process for measuring and correcting the amount of mis-registration between first and second print heads of a digital printing machine without physical adjustment of the print heads. The process comprises a step of printing a calibration test page comprising overlapping registration targets created by the first and second print heads. The overlapping registration targets each comprise a target region comprising X and Y co-ordinates. The process further comprises a step of scanning the calibration test page to produce a bitmap image. The process further comprises a step of processing the bitmap image to produce a mis-registration score for each target region. The process further comprises a step of producing X and Y registration correction amounts for the second print head based upon the mis-registration scores. The process further comprises a step of adjusting the print data to the second printhead based upon the X and Y registration correction amounts.

System and process for automatic print head registration of a digital printing machine

System and method of calibration, screening, and compensation for multiple gray-level digital presses. Unequal quantization of the input range is employed with compensated overlapping of sub-ranges. Multiple instances of bi-level screening algorithms, tone modification functions, and a recombination algorithm are employed to produce calibrated screening on individual tone ranges. The method works with any bi-level screening algorithm and devices with any number of gray-levels. Quality imaging results from high detail, high tonal accuracy, low screening noise, and lack of printed artifacts. Dynamic re-calibration is facilitated. The elimination of the constraint of evenly spaced gray-levels has advantages of cost and yield for print head fabricators and digital press manufacturers. Multiple implementations are given for hardware and software embodiments. The present invention, which comprises a print profile for each colorant, is extended to comprise additional print profiles, as needed, specifying the print characteristic of a single or group of aberrant nozzles.
