Tracking an object included in a reflective surface by detecting the reflective surface included in one or more images included in a plurality of images by determining a location of the reflective surface in pixel coordinates and tracking the location of the reflective surface in the plurality of images. Real world locations of the object can be determined based on attributes of the reflective surface including a geometric class, extrinsic properties that relate the reflective surface to an environment, intrinsic properties describing the reflective surface without referring to the environment and calibration properties of the sensor.

Object detection using reflective surfaces

A computer in a vehicle is programmed to instruct a steering system of the vehicle to perform a lateral steering action depending on whether a steering-wheel angle is greater than a threshold angle, and to determine and apply an amount of torque to a steering wheel based on comparing the steering-wheel angle to the threshold angle.

Steering-wheel control mechanism for autonomous vehicle

A computer in a vehicle is programmed to change a steering angle of the vehicle and rotate a steering wheel of the vehicle to a steering-wheel angle based on the steering angle at a preset future time and a determined ratio of the steering-wheel angle to the steering angle. The determined ratio varies based at least on vehicle speed.
