A photocatalyst having superior durability; a manufacturing method for the photocatalyst and a method and apparatus for decomposing a gas, where a film which is fullerene-based but different from the evaporated fullerene film is used. The photocatalyst has a fullerene polymer film layered on a substrate. There may be carried fine metal particles on the fullerene polymer film. These fine metal particles are carried by sputtering, evaporation or coating on the fullerene polymer film. The apparatus for decomposing the gas includes a light source and a fullerene polymer film. In effecting gas decomposition, the gas to be processed is contacted with the fullerene polymer film under light illumination.

Photocatalyst, manufacturing method therefor, and gas decomposition method

A semiconductor substrate, a thin film semiconductor device, a manufacturing method thereof and an anodizing apparatus which can reduce the manufacturing cost and save the resources are provided. According to this invention, a semiconductor thin film is formed through a separation layer of a porous semiconductor on a substrate body of sapphire; the semiconductor thin film is separated from the porosity layer and used for a thin film semiconductor device; and the substrate body from which the semiconductor thin film is separated is used again after the separation layer attached thereto is removed by etching. Since sapphire has high strength, high rigidity, high resistance to wearing, high heat resistance, high abrasion resistance and high chemicals resistance, no deterioration and no damage occur even when the substrate body is repetitively used. Thus, the recycle frequency can be increased, and the reduction of the manufacturing cost and the saving of the resources can be promoted.

Disclosed herein is a method for recovering binder resin from the ink layer of ink ribbon, said method comprising collecting ink ribbon having an ink layer consisting of dye and binder resin, dissolving the ink layer of ink ribbon in a solvent in which dye and binder resin are soluble, freeing the resulting solution of insoluble matter, concentrating the solution, pouring the resulting concentrate into a solvent in which dye is soluble but binder resin is substantially insoluble, thereby precipitating binder resin, and separating and drying precipitates. By concentrating the solution remaining after precipitation of binder resin and drying the concentrate, it is possible to recover dye. Disclosed also herein is an apparatus for recovering dye and binder resin according to said method.
