A method controls a device configured on a textile machine, wherein the device is one or both of (1) a sensor of physical quantities having a primary function in a primary operating mode to detect a state at a workstation of the textile machine; or (2) an optical signaling device having a primary function in a primary operating mode to provide visual information about a state of a workstation, group of workstations, or the textile machine. The method includes targeted switching of the device to a secondary operating mode wherein the device performs a secondary function that is different from the primary function. After performance of the secondary function, the device is switched back to the primary operating mode.

An electromagnetic device for eliminating a yarn loop during winding of a yarn on a cross-wound bobbin on a spinning machine at a constant speed of the yarn production includes a cylindrical two pole magnet rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis thereof. A compensatory arm is connected to the two pole magnet. A magnetic core includes two poles situated opposite of each other, with the cylindrical two pole magnet rotatable between the poles. A side of the magnetic core opposite from the two poles passes through a cavity of an electrical coil, wherein the magnetic core is interrupted in the cavity. A two pole permanent magnet is located at the point of the interruption of the magnetic core in the cavity of the electrical coil.

A spinning unit and method for detecting changes of position of a shaftless spinning rotor () of an open-end spinning machine in a cavity of an active magnetic bearing, in which the position of the spinning rotor () is detected by a system of sensors (A, B) and on basis of the detected changes in the position of the spinning rotor () is adjusted controlling of the active magnetic bearing in order to eliminate undesirable changes in the position of the spinning rotor () in the cavity of the active magnetic bearing. Continuously is detected radial shifting of the spinning rotor () and simultaneously is continuously detected inclination of the spinning rotor (), whereupon according to the detected changes in the position of the spinning rotor () is determined shifting and/or inclination of the spinning rotor () which is used for subsequent adjustment of the controlling of position of the spinning rotor () in the active magnetic bearing, wherein both radial shifting and inclination of the spinning rotor are each detected by at least two pairs of sensors of the distance of monitored surface of the spinning rotor, the pairs of sensors for detecting radial shifting of the spinning rotor detect changes of distances of the cylindrical wall of the spinning rotor from the sensors. The sensors (A, B) of the position of the spinning rotor () are grouped into pairs, whereby two pairs of sensors (A, A) for detecting of radial shifting of the spinning rotor () are arranged on the opposite sides of the spinning rotor () against the cylindrical wall () of the spinning rotor () and at the same time another two pairs of sensors (B, B) for detecting of inclination of the spinning rotor () are arranged on the opposite sides of the spinning rotor () against the wall () of the spinning rotor (), which is perpendicular to the rotation axis (OA) of the spinning rotor ().

Method for detecting changes of position of shaftless spinning rotor of open-end spinning machine in cavity of active magnetic bearing and spinning unit of open-end spinning machine with active magnetic bearing for bearing shaftless spinning rotor

A device for detecting position of a rotating working means in an active magnetic bearing which comprises sensors (A, B) of the position of a rotating working means, detectors (D) of an output signal of the sensors (A, B) and evaluation circuits connected to control system of the active magnetic bearing. The sensors (A, B) of the position are composed of high frequency transformers, each of which is directly connected to the detector (D) of its output signal and the detectors (D) are composed of an electrical quadrupole with a non-linear transfer characteristic.

Device for detecting position of rotating working means in active magnetic bearing

A CMOS optical detector includes a plurality of optical elements for a device for detecting parameters of moving yarn or another linear textile formation on textile machines by means of a perpendicular projection of yarn onto individual optical elements of a sensor with the aid of one source of radiation. The optical elements are arranged in two parallel rows perpendicular to the direction of the movement of the projection of yarn. Each optical element produces an output analog signal corresponding to the intensity of its irradiation. The individual optical elements of the first row are oriented to have their longer sides in the direction of the movement of the projection of yarn, whereas the optical elements of the second row are oriented to have their longer sides perpendicular to the direction of the movement of the projection of yarn.

CMOS optical detector with a plurality of optical elements for device for monitoring parameters of a moving yarn on textile machines

The invention relates to the contactless measurement of a linear textile formation such as yarn, thread, textile fiber, sliver, etc. in which a linear textile formation moves in a radiation flux between a radiation source and a radiation sensor consisting of a plurality of radiation-sensitive elements arranged next to each other in at least one row and in which the diameter and/or the hairiness and/or the density of the linear textile formation is determined on the basis of the number of overshadowed radiation-sensitive elements of the radiation sensor and/or on the basis of the irradiation degree of the radiation-sensitive elements. In order to measure a high degree of the total length of the moving textile formation it is proposed to match the dimensions of the radiation-sensitive elements such that the dimension of the radiation-sensitive elements of the radiation sensor in the direction of the motion of the measured linear textile formation is superior to their dimension in the direction normal to the direction of the motion of the measured linear textile formation.
