A method for predicting a range of a vehicle having an at least partially electric drive. When a first operating mode of the vehicle is ended at a time, the vehicle switches into a second operating mode when the first operating mode ends. The range of the vehicle is determined when the first operating mode ends. Starting at the time at which the first operating mode ends, the temporal development of a parameter from the surroundings of the vehicle is determined for a certain duration, wherein the vehicle is in the second operating mode for at least a portion of the certain duration. Also disclosed is a device for predicting a range of a vehicle having an at least partially electric drive.

A method for activating or deactivating functions in a motor vehicle is provided. A control signal for activating or deactivating at least one function can be input via at least one interface. At least one function includes timer programming and/or at least one function can be activated or deactivated in a remotely controllable manner from outside the motor vehicle via the communication interface. At least one control command is input via at least one interface, via which control command an activation or deactivation of the function is blocked via the timer programming and/or via the communication interface. An apparatus for operating a data bus system of a motor vehicle having data bus segments, at least one of the data bus segments is designed to switch from an active state to a rest state and vice versa. In a first step, a communication requirement is detected of a first control device of a first data bus segment in the rest state. If a communication requirement of the first control device is detected, the first data bus segment is brought from the rest state into the active state. If a communication requirement of the first control device with a second control device outside of the first data bus segment is detected, all other data bus segments of the data bus system outside of the first data bus segment that are in the rest state are additionally activated across the board.
