A model manager is provided that manages model derivation and alignment. A realization relationship is created between a source model element and a derived model element. The derived model element is validated to conform to an intent of the source model element. When the derived model element does not confirm to the intent of the source model element, the derived model element and the source model element are synchronized. The synchronizing includes re-aligning one or more portions of at least one of the derived model element and the source model element that no longer conform to the other model element.

Automated model derivation and alignment

Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with service configuration assurance are described. One example method includes comparing an expected device configuration model with an actual device configuration model for the network device and communicating service identifiers in the expected device configuration for which there is no corresponding service configuration item in the actual device configuration model to a user. The example method may also include generating a service-impact event notification when a likely service-impacting configuration change is detected.

Service configuration assurance

A system and method can support design pattern automation. A design environment, such as a design pattern automation platform, enables the definition of design patterns including the model entities and their relationships. The design pattern automation platform leverages the definitions and user input, and uses an intelligent method to automate the implementation of arbitrarily complex software design artifacts that realize the design patterns. The design pattern automation platform allows a user to specify a design pattern model that describes a design pattern. A user interface (UI) framework can consume the design pattern model and can render a set of UI pages that allow for user interaction with the design pattern. Furthermore, a pattern processor can combine the meta-model with user inputs from the UI framework and produce a set of entities or resources for the design pattern.

System and method for supporting intelligent design pattern automation

Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with service configuration assurance are described. One example method includes generating an expected device configuration model based at least in part on service information for a network device.
