In a cooling-air cooler for a gas-turbine plant of a power plant, in which cooling-air cooler first means for spraying water into the cooling-air flow and second means for generating steam are arranged in a pressure vessel, through which the cooling air flows, between a cooling-air inlet and a cooling-air outlet in the cooling-air flow, simplified operation is achieved in that a water separator is provided on the cooling-air side in the direction of flow downstream of the first means.

Cooling-air cooler for a gas-turbine plant and use of such a cooling-air cooler

In a method for operating a gas turbo group, partial streams of compressed air are cooled in cooling air coolers and are used as cooling air for thermally highly stressed components of the gas turbo group. The cooling air coolers are constructed as steam generators. Steam generated in the cooling air coolers is fed in part to the gas turbo group and is expanded there while providing usable power, while another part of the steam is fed into the cooling system, where the steam displaces air, which air then becomes available again to the gas turbine process. In this way, the steam generated with the help of heat removed from the cooling air is re-used.

Method for operating a power plant having turbine cooling

A combination power station with power/heat cogeneration. The combination power station includes at least one gas turbine driven by combustion gases from a combustion chamber and at least one steam turbine working in a water/steam circuit. The water/steam circuit converts water into steam in a first apparatus by hot combustion gases emerging from the at least one gas turbine. The steam is supplied to the at least one steam turbine. A separate heat transfer medium is arranged in a heat exchange relationship with a heat consumer and is heated in a second apparatus by thermal energy extracted from the water/steam circuit at a plurality of extraction points each having a different temperature. The combination power station includes means for selectively connecting the second apparatus to the plurality of extraction points depending upon a thermal output and an inlet temperature required by the heat consumer.

The object of the invention is to provide a method for preparing deep-frozen liquid gas for the purpose of recovering process energy for a downstream process, with which the refrigerating capacity of the deep-frozen liquid gas can also be used in the downstream process. According to the invention, this is achieved by the fact that the refrigerating capacity of the deep-frozen liquid gas (1) is fed as a heat sink to at least one of the part-steps of the downstream process via at least one heat-exchange medium (28, 54, 79) and, if said heat-exchange medium (28, 54, 79) is not available, the deep-frozen liquid gas (1) is regasified with an additional heat-exchange medium (32).

Method for preparing deep-frozen liquid gas

A conventional steam power plant or a combined power plant is provided with intermediate superheating. At least part of the superheated steam in the superheater (3) and the intermediately superheated steam in the intermediate superheater (9) are subject to an indirect heat exchange. The device is characterized in that the superheater (3) and the intermediate superheater (9) are provided with at least one mutual superheater/intermediate superheater heat exchanger unit (19). The unit (19) includes, for example, a double-walled pipe (21) whose inner pipe is provided for the superheater steam flow, and whose outer pipe is provided for the intermediate superheater steam.

Method and device for generating steam

A method of operating a gas-turbine group, combined with a downstream waste-heat steam generator and a steam consumer, in particular a steam turbine, for heat/power cogeneration. The object of the invention is to provide a method which utilizes the utilizable heat energy in the waste-heat steam generator of such a combined-cycle plant at a lower cost and reduces the output fluctuations when demand varies at the external heat consumer. According to the invention, this is achieved in that first of all a quantity of feedwater increased by the maximum heating-water quantity required is directed into the waste-heat steam generator (2). After the feedwater is heated, the additional quantity is diverted as heating water from the water/steam cycle. The diverted heating water is then supplied to the external consumer (30) and the residual heat is used to heat the feedwater tank (3). If there is low demand or no demand for heating water at the external consumer (30), the released quantity of additional feedwater is used to generate steam.

Method of operating a gas-turbine group combined with a waste-heat steam

In a method for keeping clean and/or cleaning, during operation, the inner surfaces affected by deposits of a gas turbine including a turbine part (2) and an upstream compressor part (3), the 'fouling' is effectively prevented without disturbing the operating procedure by subjecting the inside of the gas turbine (1) to sound waves, at least at times, in particular from sound transmitters (8a, . . . , 13b) arranged on the gas turbine (1).

Method and apparatus for keeping clean and/or cleaning a gas turbine

In a method of and an apparatus for operating a power station plant, essentially comprising a gas-turbine group (40, 41, 46), a waste-heat steam generator (8) and a downstream steam consumer, for example a steam turbine (1) having a generator (2), the exhaust gas of the gas-turbine group (40, 41, 46) releases heat to the water fed via a feed-water line (15) and directed in counterflow through the waste-heat steam generator (8). The steam generated is fed to the steam consumer (1) via at least one steam line (6). The water fed by the feed-water line (15) is directed through the waste-heat steam generator (8) in a once-through arrangement. The exhaust gases of the gas-turbine group (40, 41, 46) are directed through the waste-heat steam generator (8) at every operating instant. The steam generated in the waste-heat steam generator (8) is directed into the gas-turbine group (40, 41, 46) via an injection steam line (23) when the steam consumer (1) is shut off.
