Techniques for user profile-based system level management (SLM) and creation of system level agreements of a wireless device are generally disclosed. In some examples, a predictor may be provided to predict a future task to be performed by a wireless device, including resource requirements, based at least in part on a profile of a user and at least one of a profile of a communication partner the user, an operational recommendation, a performance model or a current state. An optimizer/analyzer may be provided to generate a plurality of instructions to configure the wireless device, based at least in part on the predicted future task and resource requirement, and a quality of service requirement of the wireless device, in anticipation of having to perform the predicted task. In various examples, the predictor and the optimizer/analyzer may form a local or a remotely disposed system level manager.

User profile-based wireless device system level management

Technologies are generally described herein for supporting program and data annotation for hardware customization and energy optimization. A code block to be annotated may be examined and a hardware customization may be determined to support a specified quality of service level for executing the code block with reduced energy expenditure Annotations may be determined as associated with the determined hardware customization. An annotation may be provided to indicate using the hardware customization while executing the code block. Examining the code block may include one or more of performing a symbolic analysis, performing an empirical observation of an execution of the code block, performing a statistical analysis, or any combination thereof. A data block to be annotated may also be examined. One or more additional annotations to be associated with the data block may be determined.

Examples include autonomously authenticating a financial transaction, on behalf of the user, without interacting with the user, via wireless communication link. In various embodiments, the user's cellular phone may be configured to process a message that provides at least partial service context and autonomously authenticate the financial transaction.

A sensor system and method configured to take multiple channels of sensors, and based on context and user behavior reflected in the signals, identifies specified channels for sensing according to a sensing policy. The sensing policy is used to reduce the amount of data sampled, such that it is possible to reconstruct the values of the non sampled sensors efficiently. The sensing policy is influenced by user and system's behavior and can be assigned either offline or in real time.

Energy aware sensor management for wearable medical systems optimization

Technology for semantic compression is disclosed. In various embodiments, the technology receives data that represents one or more physical attributes sensed by one or more sensors; employs at least one pattern or statistical feature to identify a first region and a second region in the received data; computes a first utility and a first relevant feature for the first region, and a second utility and a second relevant feature for the second region; and identifies based on at least the first utility and the second utility a first compression method to apply to the first region and a second compression method to apply to the second region wherein the first and the second compression methods have different compression rates, different feature preservation characteristics, or both.

A technique of reducing leakage energy associated with a post-silicon target circuit is generally described herein. One example method includes purposefully aging a plurality of gates in the target circuit based on a targeted metric including a timing constraint associated with the target circuit.

Techniques are generally described for determining locations of a plurality of communication devices in a network. In some examples, methods for creating a location discovery infrastructure (LDI) for estimating locations of one or more of a plurality of communication nodes may comprise one or more of determining a plurality of locations in the terrain to place a corresponding plurality of beacon nodes, determining a plurality of beacon node groups for the placed beacon nodes, and determining a schedule for the placed beacon nodes to be active. Additional variants and embodiments are also disclosed.

Infrastructure for location discovery

Technologies are generally described for voice to text to voice processing. An audio signal can be preprocessed and translated into text prior to being processed in the textual domain. The text domain processing or subsequent text to voice regeneration can seek to improve clarity, correct grammar, adjust vocabulary level, remove profanity, correct slang, alter dialect, alter accent, or provide other modifications of various oral communication characteristics. The processed text may be translated back into the audio domain for delivery to a listener. The processing at each stage may be driven by a set of objectives and constraints set by the speaker, the listener, a third party, or any combination of explicit or implicit participants. The voice processing may translate the voice content from a specific human language to the same human language with various improvements. The processing may also involve translation into one or more other languages.

Voice to text to voice processing

Embodiments for aging-based usage metering of components of an IC are described herein. In various embodiments, the IC may include various components and an aging-based usage metering circuit for metering usage of the components. The components may include respective associated usage vectors that are different from one another, whereas the usage metering circuit may include circuit elements coupled to each other, forming different processing paths for processing the different usage vectors. Additionally, the components may be configured to respectively transmit their different associated usage vectors to the usage metering circuit whenever the respectively components are used. And the usage metering circuit may be configured to process the usage vectors. Further, the circuit elements of the usage metering circuit may age over time as a result of the processing, enabling usage of the components be determined based on their aging. Other embodiments may be described or claimed.
