A system for charging long-range radio frequency identification tags includes a plurality of physically separated transmitters. Each transmitter is configured to direct a respective energy beam to an energy location. A tag is at the energy location. The tag is configured to store a received energy from the energy location, to sense a sensor data and to transmit the sensor data to a reader after a capacitor connected to the tag charges to an operating voltage level. The capacitor is charged by the received energy. A controller is configured to align at the energy location for each of the plurality of transmitters, a respective frequency, and at least one of a respective phase, and a respective polarity of each respective energy beam to maximize an energy level at the energy location in response to a device response of the tag.

Charging long-range radio frequency identification tags

A method and system is described for using radar to provide non-contact detection of human breathing at a distance. Radar data is processed to remove clutter and enable detection of a breathing signal. The breathing signal can be used to determine breathing rate or posture of the target. Static obstructions can be removed from the radar data to identify target breathing signal. The system and method can be applicable to emergency response, home or institutional monitoring applications and for detection of medical conditions.

Remote sensing of human breathing at a distance

Technologies are generally provided to virtualize hardware acceleration. In some examples, a coprovisor component may be configured to multiplex multiple domains' requests to access a hardware accelerator such as a field programmable gate array (FPGA), an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC), or a comparable accelerator in a paravirtualized environment. Hyper-requesting may be employed for hardware acceleration virtualization, where a hardware acceleration module concurrently loads a portion of data of a request for a first accelerator application and a portion of data of another request for a second accelerator application and simultaneously processes the two portions of data. Directly situated on a device driver layer, the coprovisor may schedule portions of access requests to the hardware accelerator at the same time through direct memory access (DMA) context switching.

Virtualization of hardware accelerator allowing simultaneous reading and writing

A device for cranial nerve stimulation of an individual is disclosed, having a signal driver unit for producing a current; an intraoral stimulation board having at least one primary electrode, and at least one secondary electrode positioned on the individual for communicating a current through the individual, wherein current can flow between the intraoral stimulation board and the secondary electrode. The device may be used to treat a number of ailments. In one embodiment, the device provides input representing two planes of movement, or is used as a gaming controller. A method of using an electrical stimulation system is also disclosed, comprising the steps of: a) positioning the intraoral stimulation board within the individual's mouth; b) connecting the secondary electrode to the individual; c) operating the signal driver unit for a predetermined time to provide a current flow between the intraoral stimulation board and the secondary electrode.
