A light emitting device having excellent light emission efficiency contains a cathode, a first organic layer containing a compound having a cross-linkable group and a phosphorescent transition metal complex, a second organic layer containing a crosslinked body of the same compound as the compound having a cross-linkable group, and an anode in this order. The ratio of the compound having a cross-linkable group contained in the first organic layer is 2 to 10% by mass with respect to the total mass of the first organic layer. The compound having a cross-linkable group may be a compound having at least one cross-linkable group selected from cross-linkable groups represented by the formula (XL-1) to the formula (XL-19).

Light emitting device

A block copolymer includes an end group, a block that binds to the end group, and a block that does not bind to the end group. The block that does not bind to the end group contains at least one non-crosslinkable constitutional unit represented by the formula (X) and/or at least one non-crosslinkable constitutional unit represented by the formula (Z). At least one of formulas (i) X>X, (ii) Z>Zand (iii) X+Z>X+Zis satisfied when the total number of non-crosslinkable constitutional units represented by formulas (X) and (Z) in the block that does not bind to the end group are represented by Xand Z, respectively, and the total number of non-crosslinkable constitutional units represented by formulas (X) and (Z) in the block that binds to the end group are represented by Xand Z, respectively.

Block copolymer and light emitting device using the same

A film for a light emitting device which is useful for producing a light emitting device having excellent luminance life is described. The film contains a cross-linked body of a crosslinkable material having a crosslinking group in an amount of 0.015 mmol/g to 0.05 mmol/g. A light emitting device containing the film is also described. A method for analyzing a crosslinking group in a film for a light emitting device involves: (1) a step of swelling the above-described film for a light emitting device with a solvent, and (2) a step of measuring a crosslinking group of the swollen film for a light emitting device using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
