A window includes a window layer that includes a first section, a second section, and a folding section that is disposed between the first section and the second section and is foldable with respect to a folding axis extending in a direction. The folding section includes at least one opening pattern, and in a plan view, a maximum distance between two points on an inner line of the folding section that defines the at least one opening pattern is about 10 micrometers to about 200 micrometers.

Window and display device including same

A foldable display device includes a window. The window includes a first sub window, a second sub window, and an adhesive layer for coupling the first sub window and the second sub window to each other. The first sub window includes a first base layer having light transmittance of 90% or more and a first anti-fingerprint layer disposed on an upper surface of the first base layer, and the second sub window includes a second base layer disposed on the first sub window. A contact angle of a folding area of an upper surface of the first sub window is less than a contact angle of a peripheral area of the upper surface of the first sub window.

Foldable display device

An electronic device and a window include a folding part, and a first non-folding part and a second non-folding part spaced apart from each other with the folding part disposed between the first non-folding part and the second non-folding part, wherein the folding part includes a base portion, main protruding portions disposed on the base portion, each of the main protruding portions having a first thickness, and spaced apart from each other, and at least one sub-protruding portion having a second thickness less than the first thickness of each of the main protruding portions and disposed between the main protruding portions on the base portion.

Window and electronic device including the same

An apparatus for inspecting a display panel for defects includes a table which supports the display panel, a laser excitation unit that irradiates a non-display area of the display panel with a point laser beam, a thermal wave detecting unit that generates thermal wave images of irradiated portions of the non-display area, a driving unit, and a control unit. A groove corresponding to an edge of the display panel may be defined in a top surface of the table. A defect, such as a crack, may be detected by comparing a defect pattern obtained from the thermal wave images with a pre-registered defect pattern.

Apparatus for inspecting a display panel for defects

Provided is a window including a glass substrate, an impact absorbing layer disposed on the glass substrate and having a first storage modulus, and at least one coating layer disposed on at least one of top and bottom surfaces of the impact absorbing layer, respectively, and having a second storage modulus that is greater than the first storage modulus, wherein a ratio between a first thickness of the impact absorbing layer and a second thickness of at least one of the at least one coating layer is about 1:0.0002 to about 1:0.05.

Window and display device including the same

A window includes a first cover layer, a second cover layer, and a first adhesive part. The first cover layer includes a first non-folding area, a folding area, and a second non-folding area that are arranged in a first direction, and a plurality of first recessed portions recessed from a top surface of the folding area and extended in a second direction intersecting the first direction. The second cover layer is disposed on the first cover layer. The first adhesive part is disposed between the first cover layer and the second cover layer, and includes protrusions disposed in the plurality of first recessed portions of the first cover layer.

An impact test apparatus includes a base plate having an upper surface on which a specimen is placed, a collision member that collides with the specimen, a dropping unit that drops the collision member from an upper area of the specimen to the specimen and adjusts a height that the collision member drops, a velocity measurement unit that measures a collision velocity of the collision member when the collision member collides with the specimen, and an evaluation unit that produces a representative value that is a collision velocity at which a probability of breakage of the specimen is about 50%, and evaluates an impact resistance of the specimen based on the representative value.

A flexible cover window includes a lower glass substrate including a first lower glass substrate; a second lower glass substrate, the first lower glass substrate and the second lower glass substrate being spaced apart from each other; an upper glass substrate that is disposed above the lower glass substrate and is thinner than the lower glass substrate; and an adhesive member disposed between the lower glass substrate and the upper glass substrate and extending between the first lower glass substrate and the second lower glass substrate.

Flexible cover window and foldable display apparatus

A cover window includes a glass substrate, a polymer film disposed on the glass substrate, an adhesive layer disposed between the glass substrate and the polymer film, a protective layer covering the adhesive layer and the glass substrate, and a light blocking portion disposed on at least one of the glass substrate and the polymer film. The protective layer covers a side surface of the adhesive layer, a side surface of the glass substrate, and one surface of the glass substrate. The cover window has improved strength and reliability.

Cover window, display device including the same, and method of manufacturing the display device

A window includes a base layer including a first non-folding region; a second non-folding region; a folding region disposed between the first non-folding region and the second non-folding region in a first direction; and at least one first recessed portion overlapping the folding region and extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction, a first nano pattern layer disposed in the at least one first recessed portion, and including first protrusion patterns; and a first soft portion disposed on the first nano pattern layer.
