A solenoid assembly comprising a magnetic plunger, an electric coil for generating a magnetic flux in a direction along an axis of the magnetic plunger, a main yoke composed of at least two separate members for defining a magnetic flux passage around the electric coil, and a pair of yoke end members held in engagement respectively with opposite ends of the main yoke, an outer casing. The yoke end members have recesses extending substantially normally to the axis of the magnetic plunger, and the main yoke has projections fitted respectively in the recesses to maintain the main yoke and the yoke end members in engaging relationship. The outer casing has an inner wall keeping the main yoke held in engagement with the yoke end members. A leaf spring acts on the main yoke to hold the latter securely in place in the outer casing. The yoke end members have cylindrical projections supporting thereon the electric coil between the projections of the main yoke. Magnetic cores are firmly held against a permanent magnet by resilient members fitted in slots defined in outer peripheral surface of a plunger shaft.

Solenoid assembly

A solenoid device adapted for use with an automobile door locking device, for example, comprises a shaft, two magnetic cores, a permanent magnet sandwiched between the cores, two field coils for producing a magnetic flux along the shaft, a magnetic yoke body for forming a magnetic flux path along the outsides of the coils, a magnetic center plate disposed between the coils, and two magnetic yoke end plates. The permanent magnet and the cores are fixed to the shaft to form a magnetic plunger. The center plate includes an annular magnetic flux path portion through which the magnetic plunger extends. The width A of the annular magnetic path portion in the direction of the axis of the shaft, the distance B between the end surfaces of the magnetic flux path portion and the respective end surfaces of the yoke end plates, the thickness C of the permanent magnet in the direction of polarization, and the length D of the magnetic cores in the direction of the axis of the shaft are so selected as to satisfy the following relations:

Solenoid device

A temperature sensing valve includes a casing having an internal fluid passage member formed therein, a permanent magnet mounted in the casing, a valve body which includes a magnetically soft, amorphous metal member supported in a thermally sensitive region of the casing for movement between a first and second position and being magnetically coupled to the permanent magnet so that flow through the fluid passage member can be interrupted in response to magnetic excitement by the permanent magnet of the valve body, and a spring for urging the valve body in a first direction to permit fluid flow through the fluid passage member wherein when the temperature of the second thermally sensitive region is below the Curie point of the second valve body, the valve body is excited by the permanent magnet to maintain the fluid passage member closed against the biasing force of the spring whereas when the temperature of the thermally sensitive region reaches the Curie point of the valve body, the valve body constitutes a paramagnetic body and is no longer excited by the permanent magnet so as to be displaced by the biasing force of the spring to the second position for flow of the fluid through the fluid passage member.

Temperature sensing valve

A temperature switch includes a housing, a fixed contact positioned in the housing, a movable contact member mounted in the housing carrying a movable contact and urged to first and second positions where the movable contact is in abutment with or displacement from the fixed contact, respectively, a permanent magnet mounted in the housing, a thermally sensitive member mounted in the housing so as to be exposed to a region the temperature of which is to be determined wherein the thermally sensitive member includes a magnetically soft, amorphous metal member and is magnetically coupled to the permanent magnet, and an operating member which includes magnetic material wherein a first end thereof engages the movable contact member and a second end thereof opposite the first end is attracted to the thermally sensitive member against the resilience of the movable contact member, thereby causing displacement of the movable contact to the second position and wherein the thermally sensitive member includes a paramagnetic body upon the temperature of the region exceeding the Curie point thereof so as to displace the movable contact to the first position.

Temperature switch having a magnetically soft amorphous metal member

A solenoid valve assembly having two bobbins including the solenoids which are co-axially supported by a housing first and second valve bodies slidably supported in each axial bore of the two bobbins and movable independently with respect to energized conditions of the solenoids, an outlet port formed in the housing to receive control pressure from two different pressure sources applied to two inlet ports formed in the housing, a first, second, third and fourth valve core positioned within the housing, a single sleeve of non-magnetic material secured to the valve cores such that the valve cores are positioned within axial bores of the bobbins, passageways for communicating with the outlet and two inlet ports formed in the sleeve and valve cores, the first valve body being of a magnetic material which is axially movable and supported in the sleeve between the first valve core and the second valve core, the second valve body including magnetic material axially movable and supported in the sleeve between the third valve core and the fourth valve core and a member for biasing the valve bodies, respectively, in an axial direction.

Solenoid valve assembly

In an electromagnetically operated valve unit, a stationary core and a spring loaded moving-core are coaxially arranged within an axial bore extending across a lateral plate member of magnetic material, and a U-shaped yoke member of magnetic material has a head portion engaged with the stationary core and a pair of longitudinal arms which are supported by the opposite ends of the lateral plate member and fastened to a bracket. The lateral plate member is formed at its opposite ends with a pair of arms which are engaged with each outer face of the respective arms of the yoke member to uniform a magnetic path of the solenoid coil across the cores, the lateral plate member and the yoke member.

Electromagnetically operated valve unit

A solenoid valve sealing assembly including a valve housing made of synthetic resin which defines a valve chamber, a magnetic coil wound on a bobbin for generating a magnetic flux, magnetic valve mechanism supported in the chamber for valve movement by the magnetic flux, a plurality of terminals which are electrically connected at both ends of the magnet coil, lead wires which are electrically connected with the terminals for supplying an electrical signal to the magnetic coil and a water proof member for providing waterproofing between the valve housing and the lead wires such that the lead wires are inserted in the waterproof member with the waterproof member being embedded in the valve housing by molding of the valve housing.

Solenoid valve

A compound valve device comprises a body member, a first valve member being located in the body member and controlling the fluid communication between a first input port and a first output port, and a second valve member being located in the body member and controlling the fluid communication between a second input port and a second output port. The two valve members operate in sequence, without a significant difference in time in response to one signal pressure.

Compound valve device

An altitude compensation valve assembly comprising a housing structure having a bellows and a check valve unit. The check valve unit is supported for movement between a closed position, where communication between a fluid under pressure introduced into an inlet port of the valve assembly is discommunicated from the atmosphere, and an opened position where such communication is established. The check valve unit is normally biased towards the closed position and is moved towards the opened position when the pressure introduced through the inlet port exceeds a predetermined value determined in consideration with change in a altitude in which the valve assembly is operated to compensate for reduction in pressure resulting from change in altitude.

Altitude compensation valve assembly

An atmospheric pressure responsive and vacuum actuated control valve applied to a fluid control system for maintaining the same absolute ratio of air rate by fuel rate in a combustible mixture in an intake manifold of a vehicle engine regardless of whether the vehicle engine is moved to higher altitudes. The valve has a succesive changing ability of a superimposed corrective quantity of air on the intake manifold in accordance with the altitude of the engine.

Altitude compensation valve

A pneumatic pressure control system which controls the ratio of fuel to air in the intake manifold of the engine includes a valve assembly which is operative in response to the combined action of the negative pressure existing in the intake manifold and positive pressure from an air pump operated by the engine. When the sum of the negative and positive pressures acting on opposite sides of a diaphragm are sufficient to overcome a spring force on the negative pressure side of the diaphragm the movement of the diaphragm will cause the operation of the valve to admit atmospheric air pressure either directly into the intake manifold or to a fuel regulating device to operate a further valve to reduce the supply of fuel to the carburetor.

Pneumatic pressure control valve assembly

A vacuum cut-off valve for cutting off vacuum communication between an inlet port and an outlet port when the inlet vacuum increases above a predetermined vacuum level so that the outlet vacuum is maintained at a constant predetermined vacuum level. When the valve cutting operation between the inlet port and the outlet port is insufficient and vacuum leakage results, atmospheric pressure is admitted to the outlet port to thereby maintain the outlet vacuum at the constant predetermined level.
