A programmable electronic sewing machine includes input means for supplying input data when operated by a user, and sewing program composing means for composing a sewing program for the sewing machine on the basis of the input data supplied from the input means. The sewing program composing means composes the same sewing program on the basis of the input data supplied from the input means when the input means is operated in two or more different operating procedures.

Programmable electronic sewing machine

A sewing machine system provided with an electronically controlled sewing machine and a programmer, which is electronically connected to the sewing machine, for creating a sewing data in cooperation with the sewing machine. A selecting switch is provided and, when sewing data is being created, a user can switch a display condition of a displaying device of the programmer between a first mode for displaying numerical data related to currently created sewing data, and a second mode for displaying an image of the pattern in accordance with the sewing data which is being created.

A programmable electronic sewing machine includes sewing means for executing a sewing operation according to a predetermined program, program composing means for composing the program, displaying means for displaying a plurality of icons representative of commands used in composition of the program respectively, and input means for entering data used in composition of the program and for selecting a desired one of the icons displayed by the displaying means.

Disclosed is a sewing machine system, including an electronically controlled sewing machine, and a data editing device. In a sewing machine, a plurality of sewing programs stored in a data recording medium are read, and image data indicative of a sewing pattern corresponding to each sewing program is generated. The image data is then transmitted to the data editing device. In the data editing device, a plurality of sewing patterns are displayed in accordance with the received image data. When one of the displayed sewing patterns is selected by an operator, a predetermined operation is applied to a sewing program corresponding to the selected sewing pattern.

A work-sheet folding apparatus including a table having a hole; a support plate which is provided above the table and on which the work sheet is placed; a first folding member which cooperates with the support plate to fold an outer peripheral portion of the work sheet in a first direction perpendicular to the support plate; a first moving device which moves the first folding member in the first direction; second folding members which cooperate with the support plate to fold back the outer peripheral portion of the work sheet in a second direction parallel to the support plate; second moving devices which move the second folding members in the second direction; a support member which surrounds an outer peripheral portion of the support plate and which supports the second folding members; a pressing device which presses the support plate and the support member on the table; a movable member which is provided in the hole of the table such that the movable member is movable upward and downward; and a supporting device which supports the movable member such that an upper surface of the movable member is flush with an upper surface of the table, and which permits the movable member to be moved downward by being pressed by the folded-back outer peripheral portion of the work sheet when the support plate is pressed on the table by the pressing device.

Work-sheet folding apparatus for pocket setter

A programmable electronic sewing machine includes sewing control means for controlling sections of the machine including a main shaft on the basis of a preset program so that a sewing operation is executed, rotational speed setting means for setting a rotational speed of the main shaft according to an amount of operation thereof, upper limit calculating means for calculating an upper limit settable as the rotational speed of the main shaft on the basis of the preset program, and displaying means for displaying the rotational speed of the main shaft currently set by the rotational speed setting means with the upper limit calculated by the upper limit calculating means serving as an upper limit of the displayed rotational speed.

A workpiece fabric holding device for producing neatly folded pocket pieces for attachment to an article clothing. When a peripheral edge of a patch pocket P put on a gage plate at an operational position is folded back under the gage plate, a folded portion around the edge with a double folded portion formed at the corners of the patch pocket P. Then the gage plate is moved downward and the folded portion and the double folded portion are depressed to a cloth W positioned on a machine table. A hollow is formed on the machine table which opposes and receives the double folded portion. A stopper is arranged in the hollow to prevent the cloth of the folded portion or the double folded portion from being drawn out beyond the periphery of the patch pocket P.

A horizontal axis full rotary hook for a sewing machine, including a generally cylindrical hook base having a point of hook, an inner circumferential surface, and a guide groove formed in the inner circumferential surface; and a generally cylindrical bobbin-case holder having an inner circumferential surface, an outer circumferential surface, and a part-circumferential rail provided on the outer circumferential surface, the bobbin-case holder being supported by the hook base such that the bobbin-case holder is freely rotatable relative to the rotary hook while the rail is guided in the guide groove, the bobbin-case holder having a needle aperture which allows a sewing needle with an upper thread to be moved down to a bottom position thereof, the needle aperture having a first inclined inner surface which is opposite to the point of hook with respect to the needle at the bottom position, a distance between the needle at the bottom position and the first inclined inner surface as measured in a direction parallel to a rotation axis of the bobbin-case holder being decreased in a direction from the outer circumferential surface of the bobbin-case holder toward the inner circumferential surface of the bobbin-case holder.
