According to a nonwoven fabric substrate () for wiping sheet of the invention, ridges () and grooves () are alternately formed at positions corresponding to each other on both surfaces (), and apertures () are formed in the grooves (). Each of the ridges () and the grooves () extend parallel to one side of the nonwoven fabric substrate (). Each of the grooves () alternately includes an aperture portion () which has a plurality of the apertures (), and a non-aperture portion () which has no aperture () and is longer than a distance between the nearest end portions of the adjacent apertures () in the aperture portion (). An arrangement pattern of the aperture portion () and the non-aperture portion () provided in the groove () is different from an arrangement pattern of the aperture portion () and the non-aperture portion () provided in an adjacent groove (). When the whole of the nonwoven fabric substrate () is seen in planar view, the nonwoven fabric substrate () has an aperture region () formed by the aperture portions () of a plurality of the grooves (), and a non-aperture region () formed by the non-aperture portions () of a plurality of the grooves (). Each of the aperture region () and the non-aperture region () is arranged in a predetermined pattern.

Non-woven fabric substrate for wiping sheet

Provided is a nonwoven fabric substrate () in which ridges () and grooves () are alternately formed at positions corresponding to each other on each of both surfaces (), and apertures () penetrating the grooves () of both surfaces are formed. The ridges () and the grooves () extend parallel to each other. The ridges () and the grooves () extend in a direction intersecting with each of a pair of both sides () extending in parallel of the nonwoven fabric substrate (). In planar view, each of the grooves () alternately includes an aperture portion () which has a plurality of the apertures (), and a non-aperture portion which has no aperture () and is longer than a distance between the nearest end portions of the adjacent apertures () in the aperture portion (), and arrangement patterns of the aperture portion () and the non-aperture portion () provided in the adjacent grooves () are different from each other. When the nonwoven fabric substrate () is seen in planar view, the nonwoven fabric substrate () has an aperture region () formed by the aperture portion () of the plurality of grooves (), and a non-aperture region () formed by the non-aperture portion (), and the aperture region () and the non-aperture region () are arranged in a predetermined pattern.

A cleaning sheet (A) of the invention includes: a substrate sheet (); and at least one long-fiber bundle () disposed on at least one side of the substrate sheet () and made by aggregating long fibers () oriented in substantially one direction. The long-fiber bundle () is formed by joining the long fibers () together with a fiber-joining section () extending linearly in a direction orthogonal to the orientation direction of the long fibers (). The cleaning sheet (A) is formed by joining the thus-formed long-fiber bundle () to the substrate sheet () by at least one sheet-joining section (). The cleaning sheet (A) is formed such that the entire fiber-joining section () or at least a portion of the fiber-joining section () is not joined to the substrate sheet () and the sheet-joining section () is in perpendicular contact with the fiber-joining section ().

Cleaning sheet and process for producing the same

A cleaning sheet (A) includes: a substrate sheet (); and a plurality of long-fiber bundles () provided thereon, each long-fiber bundle () being made by aggregating long fibers (), the long-fiber bundles () being arranged side-by-side and joined to the substrate sheet (). Each long-fiber bundle () is joined together by fiber-joining sections (). Each long-fiber bundle () is joined to the substrate sheet () by sheet-joining sections (). Each sheet-joining section () is provided so as to overlap one of the fiber-joining sections (). Each long-fiber bundle () has been cut by linear cut sections (), each linear cut section () being formed in a region between adjacent sheet-joining sections (). Each long-fiber bundle () includes cut fibers () and uncut fibers ().

Cleaning sheet

A laminate () is prepared by superposing a fibrous web (), () containing fibers comprising polyethylene terephthalate on one side or both sides of a net-form sheet (); water needling the fibrous web (), () to entangle the fibers of the fibrous web (), () with each other, and also to entangle the fibers of the fibrous web (), () with the net-form sheet (); and then, blowing hot air having a temperature above the glass transition temperature (Tg (&#xb0; C.)) of the polyethylene terephthalate and below 'Tg (&#xb0; C.)+70&#xb0; C.' to the laminate () by through-air technique. Preferably, after preparing the laminate () by entangling the fibers of the fibrous web(s) (), () with the net-form sheet (), the laminate () is dried with hot air; and then hot air is blown to the laminate () by through-air technique.

Process for producing cleaning sheet

A cleaning sheet () includes at least one continuous-filament aggregate () formed by aggregating and orienting a multitude of continuous filaments () substantially in one orientation direction. The continuous filaments () are joined by a single first joining line () extending continuously in a direction orthogonal to the orientation direction of the continuous filaments () and are joined by a plurality of second joining lines () extending in the orientation direction. In this way, the continuous filaments () in the continuous-filament aggregate () are kept in an aggregated state. Preferably, the second joining lines () are connected to the first joining line ().
