A speaker system includes a wearable speaker capable of outputting a first sound which is a voice of a communication partner of a talker and a second sound, a microphone, and a sound processing device which processes a sound output from the wearable speaker and a sound picked up by the microphone. The sound processing device generates a reference signal by synthesizing a first signal indicating the first sound and a second signal indicating the second sound, outputs the first signal and the second signal to the wearable speaker, obtains a sound pickup signal including the voice of the talker from the microphone, performs, on the sound pickup signal, a process of cancelling the sound component output from the wearable speaker by using the reference signal, and outputs the sound pickup signal on which the cancellation process has been performed.

Speaker system, sound processing device, sound processing method, and recording medium

A speaker device includes a housing that has a sound guide space having a vertically flattened shape, a first speaker disposed in the housing to be oriented toward a front of the housing, and a second speaker that is disposed in the housing and is oriented upward or downward to output sound into the sound guide space positioned at an internal upper part or an internal lower part of the housing. The sound guide space opens at an opening that is formed in vertically flattened form in the housing, and the opening has a vertical height that is smaller than an aperture of the first speaker.

Speaker device

In a drive loadable with storage media of different types, a data stream is recorded directly on a given storage medium at a write rate and in a recording format associated with the storage medium. When loaded with a storage medium on which a data stream representing standard resolution video is recordable and when receiving a data stream representing high resolution video, the data processor converts the high resolution video into the standard resolution video and record it on the storage medium. In this case, since the format of the data stream received is different from that of the data stream recordable on the storage medium, a data stream in a format compatible with the storage medium is generated. On the other hand, when loaded with a storage medium on which a data stream representing high resolution video is recordable, the data stream is recorded on the storage medium as it is without converting its resolution or format.

Copy control information deciding apparatus

In an audio signal delay apparatus and methods, an audio signal modulated by biphase mark modulation is received and a header part of the audio signal is identified. Thereafter, a data part of the audio signal is demodulated to store the identification data and the demodulated data part in a memory, the identification data from the memory is read out to reconstruct the header part after a specified time. Subsequently, the data part is read out from the memory to modulate the data part by the biphase mark modulation and the reconstructed header part is combined with the modulated data part to output the combined data. Preferably, the identification data is represented by two bits.

Audio signal delay apparatus and method

A signal processor generates signals to reproduce video and audio from a received encoded digital signal. The signal processor includes: a first decoder for separating a first video signal and a first audio signal from a digital signal; a second decoder for separating a second video signal and a second audio signal from a digital signal; a video controller, which receives the first and second video signals, subjects a selected video signal to video processing; a clock generator for generating a clock signal of which the frequency corresponds to that of the first audio signal; an audio processor, which receives the second audio signal and the clock signal and converts the frequency of the second audio signal into that of the first audio signal; and an audio switch which outputs one of the two audio signals that is associated with the video signal being selected by the video controller.
