A front winding base frame (A) and a rear winding base frame (B) are respectively provided with winding arms (A andB) that hold winding shafts (A andB) so as to be capable of ascending and descending vertically, and the winding arms (A andB) are attached to the front winding base frame (A) and the rear winding base frame (B) so as to be capable of being exchanged between the front winding base frame (A) and the rear winding base frame (B). A front-side touch roller frame (A) and a rear-side touch roller frame (B) are respectively provided with touch rollers (A andB) so as to be capable of ascending and descending vertically, and the touch rollers (A andB) are attached to the front-side touch roller frame (A) and the rear-side touch roller frame (B) so as to be capable of being exchanged between the front-side touch roller frame (A) and the rear-side touch roller frame (B). In this winder, the winding shaft (A orB) while being in pressure contact with the touch roller (A) is passed on from the front winding base frame (A) to the rear winding base frame (B).

Winder

A winding apparatus, such as a slitter rewinder, designed to shorten a distance between an unwinding shaft and a winding shaft, thereby downsizing the apparatus and attaining a significant cost reduction. To that end, in unwinding a web from the unwinding shaft, either to wind it onto the winding shaft or to slit it in the elongate direction into plural narrow-width webs and separate them alternately vertically or longitudinally, followed by winding onto respective winding shafts, the unwinding shaft is driven at a preset web speed, the winding shaft is driven at a preset web tension, guide rollers for guiding the web are disposed between the unwinding and winding shafts to thereby leave the guide rollers to rotate freely by contact with the web without their direct driving.

Control method for winding

In winding up a sheet web coated with a tacky adhesive, a roll changing method is provided which obviates the necessity of applying an adhesive. When changing the sheet web from a full wind roll wound up on a turret winder to a new core tube, the new core tube is revolved in reverse to the rotational direction of the turret, the sheet is cut between the full wind roll now turned by the turret and the new core tube revolving in reverse to it at a winding location, the adhesive side of the end of the cut sheet in the running direction is pressed and attached to the surface of the new core tube under reverse revolution and concurrently, the attached sheet is folded back, and the sheet web continuing from it is wound onto the new core tube, with its adhesive side being a surface side.

Method of winding sheet web coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive

A web winding device versatilely adaptable to a web wound on a winding shaft, e.g., physical properties, thickness, width, winding speed, etc. and yielding an optimal wind roll without entrained air. It contains a touch roller disposed in pressure contact with a wind roll at a web approaching position to it, a guide roller provided adjacently, upstream of the touch roller, and touch roller arms provided with both rollers, the touch and guide rollers being arranged so that the approaching direction of the web to the guide roller and the wrapping direction on the wind roll in pressure contact with the touch roller are kept in parallel and the position of the guide roller is controllable vertically, permitting the regulation of the web approaching angle to the touch roller in pressure contact with the wind roll.

Web winding device

A core shaft having lugs protruding from its outer circumference to grip winding cores such as a paper tube is provided, wherein the movement of the lugs within a shell of the shaft is inhibited thereby to secure concentrical gripping of the winding cores with the core shaft and to prevent from decentering and vibration or runout of the winding cores, eventually enabling a smooth winding or unwinding of a sheet material. The core shaft has plural sets of the lugs arranged axially in spaced relationship, at least one set of the lugs being disposed circumferentially equidistantly relative to the center of the shaft; an inner core tube for introduction of air disposed in a central part of the shaft; air cylinders having an inclined wall disposed between the inner core tube and the lugs, the inclined wall being axially movable; and slide fittings having a reverse inclined wall disposed in abutting contact with the inclined wall, the slide fittings being fitted with the lugs so that when the inclined walls are displaced by passage of air through the cylinders, the lugs protrude equally or retract from the outer circumference through the slide fittings. The air cylinders may contain therein a spring member with a retainer, a piston for the cylinder and an air chamber for the passage of air, whereby to move the inclined walls with the spring members or pneumatically, thus protruding or retracting the lugs.

Alignin core shaft

A two-shaft linear motion type winder for winding up a sheet material, e.g. a film is provided, which can eliminate the occurrence of any mechanical loss by simplification of a transission device, shorten the path distance of the film upon roll changing, prevent the neck-in and wrinkling of the film and reduce vastly the roll changing cycle. It comprises at least a pair of upper-stage winding frames having holders for an upper winding shaft, suspended from an upper main frame to be slidingly movable back and forth in a given area; and a pair of lower-stage winding frames having holders for a lower winding shaft, disposed on a lower main frame to face upwards so as to be slidingly movable longitudinally in a given area. The holders for the upper and lower winding shafts are capable of ascending and descending vertically; and each of the upper-stage and lower-stage winding frames, upon full winding, move the one winding shaft with a full roll from a winding position to a removal position of the roll while shifting the other winding shaft to the winding position thereby enabling the roll changing; each of the frames and holders being movable individually without mutual interference.

Winder for sheet material

Automatic slitter rewinder machine which includes a plurality of pairs of core-holding frames for releasably mounting a core therebetween and for winding up on the cores slit narrow web sheets to full rolls and automatic delivery apparatus for cooperating with the pairs of core-holding frames after winding-up to conduct a series of automatic roll changing steps for the next winding. The pairs of core-holding frames are suspended to be slidably movable. The automatic delivery apparatus is disposed below the pairs of core-holding frames and has a roll delivery carriage including a wrapping device for cut trailing ends of unloaded full rolls, a carriage for transferring the full rolls outside the machine, a conveyor for carrying and discharging the rolls, and a lifter for the conveyor, the wrapping device having swing rollers capable of moving toward and away from each other so as to conduct the wrapping and to carry the full rolls onto the conveyor. A core-feeding lift including a vertically movable horizontal member is provided, with travellers being slidable on the horizontal member. Core-holding devices are mounted on the travellers and each have a self-aligning property to the pairs of core-holding frames.

Automatic slitter rewinder machine

An end-trimming apparatus for roll-like products. The apparatus trims both ends of a roll comprising a sheet-like material wound up on a core, particularly, stretchable one such as plastics film, by cutting off the irregularity of both the ends, finishing them into flat faces. It comprises a conveying means for carrying rolls horizontally to a given location, a supporting means of a pair of chucks for supporting the roll at both the ends, while providing it with a rotation in the winding direction of the roll, and a cutting means provided close to the pair of chucks, including a pair of disk cutters arranged co-axially and having respectively separate shafts parallel with the shafts of the chucks, the disk cutters being capable of moving toward and away from each other and of reciprocating in the direction at right angle to said toward-and-away motion. The pneumatic and electric control means control the co-operation of the above means to effect an automatic or semi-automatic trimming of the roll ends in an orderly sequence, providing a great improvement in labor saving and cost reduction.
