In a corneal surgical apparatus for incising a cornea of a patient's eye in a layered form, a blade is movably supported to a main body for lateral oscillation and rectilinear movement. Discrete motors are located within the main body for the lateral oscillation and the rectilinear movement of the blade, respectively. One of the motor is coupled to the blade through a feed screw, an attaching member threadingly engaged with the feed screw, and a hollow connecting member connected to the attaching member, whereas the other of the motor is coupled to the blade through gears, a spline shaft rotatably supported by the inside of the hollow connecting member and non-rotatably but slidably connected to one of the gears, and a converting mechanism for converting the rotation of the shaft to the lateral oscillation of the blade.

Corneal surgical apparatus

An ophthalmic surgery apparatus by which treatment laser beam is irradiated onto a desired portion of a patient's eye and for treatment of the portion, the apparatus includes: a laser irradiating unit having a laser beam source which emits the treatment laser beam, and an irradiating optical system which optically guides the treatment laser beam emitted from the laser beam source onto the portion; an ocular movement detecting unit which detects a potential difference between a cornea and a retina, and detects an ocular movement of the patient's eye based on the detected potential difference; and an irradiation controlling unit which controls the irradiating unit based on a result of detection by the detecting unit.

Ophthalmic surgery apparatus

A corneal surgical apparatus includes: a suction ring to be fixed to a patient's eye, the suction ring having an opening; a suction unit which absorbs air in a space defined between the patient's eye and the suction ring, and which variably sets a suction pressure; a setting unit which sets a desired ocular pressure for the patient eye during surgery, the desired ocular pressure having a predetermined tolerable range; an input unit which inputs a measured ocular pressure of the patient's eye; a controller which controls operation of the suction unit based on the inputted ocular pressure to obtain the set ocular pressure, and which is connected to the suction unit, the setting unit and the input unit.

An ophthalmic apparatus comprises an ophthalmic device having an observation optical system for observing a patient's eye and treating or examining the patient's eye, a moving device for relatively moving the ophthalmic device relative to the patient's eye, a photographing optical system including a plurality of photoelectric photographing elements for photographing the patient's eye, image capturing device which captures image signals of different ranges from the plurality of photoelectric photographing elements to obtain supplemental image data, a detecting device which analyzes the obtained image data to detect a position of the patient's eye, and a control device which controls the moving device based on the results detected by the detecting device to move the ophthalmic device to a desired position relative to the patient's eye.

Ophthalmic apparatus

An apparatus for observing an object comprises an illumination optical system for illuminating an object to be observed with visible light, an observing optical system for observing the object positioned within a visual field illuminated by the illumination optical system, an index projecting optical system for projecting index for focus, the optical system having projecting luminous flux of wavelength at least a part of which is common with the wavelength of illumination luminous flux of the illuminating optical system, device for restricting luminous flux of index by intermittently projecting index light from the index projecting optical system, each projecting time being set so that no photogene occur in an examiner's eye, device for restricting luminous flux of illumination by intermittently conducting illumination by the illuminating optical system when index projection is not conducted, and by restricting the time of not conducting illumination to a time not recognized by the examiner, and device for detecting an image of focus index projected on the object, wherein relative distance of the object with respect to the focus index is changed based on the results detected by the detecting device.
