A heat exchange moduleis formed by stacking pipe groups obtained by fixing a plurality of pipeswith use of pipe array holding membersto. Flow path forming membersare arranged on pipe groups in the uppermost and lowermost layers, and wallsandare provided so as to protrude from the outer-side pipe array holding members and the inner-side pipe array holding members. Flow path membersare provided between the wallsandadjacent to each other so as to allow through holesandto communicate with each other. Method for manufacturing a heat exchanger

A conduit tube () that communicates with an intracardiac blood inflow port () and a liquid medicine injection port () and allows blood from the intracardiac blood inflow port and a liquid medicine from the liquid medicine injection port to flow into a cardiotomy section () is inserted from above downward in the cardiotomy section. A blood flow channel () for the flow of blood and a liquid medicine flow channel () for the flow of a liquid medicine are formed independently of each other in the conduit tube. With respect to the vertical direction, the lower end of a blood conduit tube portion () that forms the blood flow channel is located at a lower position than the lower end of a liquid medicine conduit tube portion () that forms the liquid medicine flow channel. This prevents the generation of negative pressure in the liquid medicine flow channel due to the flow of blood. It also reduces the resistance to the inflow of a liquid medicine into the cardiotomy section.

The heat exchanger further includes a hollow fiber membranethat is formed of a plurality of hydrophobic and gas permeable hollow fibersand that is disposed on at least one of an entrance side and an exit side of the blood channel in the housingso that a liquid flowing through the blood channel passes through the hollow fiber membrane. The housingincludes openingsfor exposing open ends of each of the hollow fibersforming the hollow fiber membraneto the outside, and gaps between an inner side of the openings and the hollow fibersare sealed. Air can be removed while suppressing a reduction in the heat exchange efficiency.

Heat exchanger, method for manufacturing the same, and heart-lung machine

A locking and unlocking device particularly employable for a double lock system such as a bank lock and a client lock is disclosed. To operate the bank lock, a magnetic card specifically allocated to a client is inserted into a casing or cover through a card insert hole until a plurality of magnetized points on the magnetic card are located in alignment with the corresponding permanent magnet pins, which are held in engagement holes on a sliding member or lever. Polarities and coordinate positions of the magnetized points on the magnetic card are previously determined by means of an encoder. The permanent magnet pins are brought in disengagement from the engagement holes under the influence of magnetic repulsive or attractive force developed between the permanent magnet pins and the magnetized points on the magnetic card when the latter is inserted through the card insert hole. After the sliding member or lever is free from the permanent magnet pins, it is displaced in such a direction that a window formed on the bottom of the casing or the base member becomes exposed to the outside and thereafter the client inserts his key through the window to open the client lock. The cover is slidably fitted to the base member, and after the magnetic card is inserted, it is displaced in the opposite direction to that of insertion of the magnetic card. Safe room entering and leaving readers are preferably fitted to an automatic door for the rental safe room.

Locking and unlocking device

A lock includes a running plate formed integrally with a locking bar and provided with a fence adapted to cooperate with a plurality of tumblers so as to alternatively block and allow retraction of the locking bar, and this mechanism is mounted together with the cooperating components within a lock housing. The tumblers allow retraction of the locking bar when moved by a prescribed key to a unlocking position and this prescribed key, which can move the tumblers to the unlocking position, can be exchanged with another prescribed key by displacing the rotational axes of the tumblers. The rotational axes of the tumblers are rotatably released or fixed by a conversion shaft extending through an opening formed in the tumblers and rotatably supported in the lock housing. The conversion shaft is provided with a stop piece and a locking piece. An operative association is established among the conversion shaft, the running plate and a key guiding member rotatably supporting the prescribed key so that it is impossible to release the rotational axes for its displacement or to fix the rotational axes thus released unless the tumblers have been moved to the unlocking position and are held at this unlocking position.
