A cover glass includes: a glass substrate having a convex and concave shape formed on at least one of surfaces thereof by an antiglare treatment; and an antireflection film disposed on the surface of the glass substrate, the surface having the convex and concave shape. In the cover glass, a difference Δa* in a* value between any two points within a surface of the cover glass on the side where the antireflection film is present and a difference Δb* in b* value between any two points within the surface of the cover glass on the side where the antireflection film is present satisfy the following expression: √{(Δa*)+(Δb*)}≤4.

Cover glass

The present invention relates to a cover glass for a display, which is a glass plate having a first main surface and a second main surface. The cover glass contains, as represented by mol percentage based on oxides, from 50 to 75% of SiO, from 5 to 20% of AlO, from 2 to 20% of NaO, from 0 to 6% of KO, from 0 to 15% of MgO, from 0 to 10% of a total amount (CaO+SrO+BaO) of CaO, SrO and BaO, from 0 to 5% of a total amount (ZrO+TiO) of ZrOand TiO, from 0 to 10% of BO, and from 0 to 20% of LiO. The cover glass has a ream minimum distance of 100 mm or more and 1,000 mm or less, and a ream period of 1 mm or more and 30 mm or less.

Cover glass for display, in-vehicle display device, and manufacturing method of cover glass for display

The present invention relates to a glass plate which is provided with a first main surface, and a second main surface which faces the first main surface. An antiglare portion and a non-antiglare portion are provided to the first main surface. The average lengths (RSm) of elements of roughness curves of the antiglare portion and the non-antiglare portion are respectively 1 &#x3bc;m or higher. The difference between the RSm of the antiglare portion and the RSm of the non-antiglare portion is 100 &#x3bc;m or lower.

Glass plate

A glass substrate includes a pair of main surfaces including a first main surface and a second main surface opposed to the first main surface; an edge surface arranged along a direction orthogonal to the pair of main surfaces; and a connecting surface arranged between the first main surface and the edge surface. The connecting surface has a plurality of pores. A difference between a 50% particle diameter of the pores in a portion 20 &#x3bc;m distant from the first main surface and a 50% particle diameter in a portion 20 &#x3bc;m distant from the edge surface is 10 &#x3bc;m or less.

Glass substrate and in-vehicle display device

An antiglare glass substrate includes a glass substrate having a first main surface and a second main surface that is opposite to the first main surface. The first main surface has undergone an antiglare treatment and a fluorine-containing organosilicon compound coating film as an antifouling film is laminated thereon. The first main surface partly includes a non-antiglare-treated portion that has not undergone the antiglare treatment. The non-antiglare-treated portion has a surface roughness Ra of less than 10 nm. A difference in height along a plate thickness direction of the glass substrate between the antiglare-treated portion that has undergone the antiglare treatment and the non-antiglare-treated portion is 10 &#x3bc;m or larger and 200 &#x3bc;m or less.

Antiglare glass substrate

The present invention relates to a translucent structure having a surface unevenness shape which has: an area ratio of surface flat regions in which an angle formed with a flat surface is in a range of 0&#xb0; to 0.5&#xb0; of in a range of 0% to 5.8%; a projection density of in a range of 0.0001/&#x3bc;mto 0.05/&#x3bc;m; a projection area ratio of in a range of 5.5% to 50%; a skewness Ssk which represents the degree of non-symmetry of in a range of &#x2212;0.5 to 1.1; a load area factor Smr1 at a boundary between a projected mountain portion and a core portion of in a range of 0% to 14.5%; and an arithmetic average surface roughness Sa of in a range of 0.06 &#x3bc;m to 0.143 &#x3bc;m.

Translucent structure

The present invention relates to a glass plate including a first main surface subjected to antiglare treatment, and a second main surface opposed to the first main surface, in which a clarity index value T, a reflection image diffusiveness index value R and an anti-sparkle index value S satisfy respective relations of: clarity index value T&#x2265;0.8; reflection image diffusiveness index value R&#x2265;0.01; and anti-sparkle index value S&#x2265;0.85; and a transmission haze measured by a method according to JIS K 7136 (2000) being 15% or less. The glass plate of the present invention is excellent in clarity, reflection image diffusiveness and anti-sparkle, and also excellent in reproducibility of color.

Glass plate and display device

There is provided an optical device including a display device, and a transparent substrate that is disposed on a side of a display surface of the display device. When the transparent substrate is evaluated by using a three index values of a resolution index value T, a reflection image diffusiveness index value R, and a sparkle index value S, the following conditions are satisfied: the resolution index value T&#x2264;0.2, the reflection image diffusiveness index value R&#x2265;0.2, and the sparkle index value S&#x2264;60.

Optical device

The present invention is a method of evaluating optical characteristics of a transparent substrate that is disposed on a display device, wherein the optical characteristics of the transparent substrate are evaluated by selecting two values among a quantified resolution index value (T), a quantified reflection image diffusiveness index value (R), and a quantified sparkle index value of the transparent substrate. According to the present invention, a transparent substrate and an anti-glare process that is to be applied to it can be properly selected, depending on purpose and use. The present invention can be utilized, for example, for evaluating optical characteristics of a transparent substrate that is installed in various types of display devices, such as an LCD device, an OLED device, a PDP device, and a tablet type display device.
