Temperature sensors are produced by first producing temperature sensing elements each having electrodes on its mutually oppositely facing main surfaces, next forming a lead frame comprising a linearly elongated base part and a plurality of pairs of planar lead parts extending perpendicularly from said base part, twisting each of these planar lead parts such that each of the pairs has top end parts which face each other with a gap therebetween, inserting one of the temperature sensing elements between the mutually facing top end parts of each pair in the corresponding gap and electrically connecting the electrodes on the inserted temperature sensing element individually to the top end parts of the corresponding pair, and cutting each of the planar lead parts from said base part to form lead terminals of specified lengths for the temperature sensors. Each of the planar lead parts is provided with a semicircular kinked part distal from the top end part such that the kinked parts of each of the pairs of planar lead parts are bent in a same direction with respect to each other and in a side-by-side relationship.

Method of producing temperature sensor and mounting same to a circuit board

A temperature sensor has lead lines made of an elastic material each attached to a corresponding one of electrodes on a temperature sensing element such as an NTC thermistor element. The lead lines may each have a non-straight part where they are bent or deformed into a semi-circular shape such that, when these lead lines are inserted into throughholes prepared through a circuit board, the non-straight parts are hooked at the throughholes and the portions of the lead lines above the circuit board will stand up obliquely. Instead of lead lines, a pair of elongated planar lead terminals each with a twisted top end part may be connected to the electrodes such that the top end parts of the pair of lead terminals face each other and can support the temperature sensing element more securely in between.

Temperature sensor

A temperature sensing device for use in a secondary battery pack includes an NTC element and a current limiter element. The NTC element is disposed at a predetermined position to sense the temperature of a secondary battery incorporated in the secondary battery pack, and one end thereof is electrically connected to a temperature sensing terminal. The current limiter element is connected between the other end of the NTC element and a reference potential terminal.

An electronic component includes a main element such as a thermistor having electrodes formed on its surfaces, and lead terminals are electrically connected to these electrodes. A resin coating covers the main element, and both the main element and the lead terminals, except their tip parts away from the main element, are covered with another resin coating of an electrically insulating and flexible resin material.

An NTC thermistor element has a pair of outer electrodes formed on opposite outer end surfaces of a thermistor body made of an NTC thermistor material. A plurality of inner electrodes are formed inside this thermistor body in layers, each connected to either of this pair of outer electrodes. At least one of these layers contains a longer inner electrode and a shorter inner electrode disposed mutually opposite to each other, separated by a gap, and connected to different ones of this pair of outer electrodes. At least a portion of this longer electrode in this layer overlaps, in the perpendicular direction to the layers, another of the inner electrodes connected to the different outer electrode from the one to which this longer electrode is connected, with a thermistor layer in between.

A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines of the type having a plunger adapted to be reciprocatingly moved within a barrel to pressurize and deliver a fuel before the establishment of communication between a fuel relief bore formed in the wall of said barrel and a fuel pressurizing chamber, said plunger being adapted to be rotated relatively to said barrel to change the timing of establishment of said communication thereby to adjust the amount of the fuel delivered per stroke of said plunger. Said fuel injection pump is provided with a plunger rotating member coupled to said plunger for rotation therewith. Whereby said plunger can be rotated by merely rotating said plunger rotating member.

Fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines

A self-regulating electric heater includes a casing made of ceramic and a heating unit housed in the casing. The heating unit includes a PTC body for generating heat when electric current is supplied, heat dissipating plates essentially made of brass and coupled to the PTC body in such a manner as to sandwich the PTC body between the heat dissipating plates and terminals connected to each of the heat dissipating plates for the external electrical connection. The self-regulating electric heater further includes lid member and sealing member for sealing the casing hermetically.

A fuel injection pump for Diesel engines comprises a plunger unit in the pump body, a delivery valve, and an injection-quantity control mechanism in the pump body between the plunger unit and delivery valve. The control mechanism has a piston slidable in the pump body and communicated with the plunger unit and delivery valve and also has an injection-quantity control member coaxial with the piston and axially adjustable in position to press the piston against the pump body with the aid of a spring on the other end of the piston. The lift limit distance of the piston to be adjusted by the injection-quantity control member is preset to a range not less than that obtained by dividing the quantity of fuel to be injected at the engine start by the cross sectional area of the piston.
