An object of the present device is to precisely lock the output of electrical stimulation pulses onto diastolic periods. An electrical stimulator comprises a pulse sensor, a systolic period pulse producing unit for producing a systolic signal using the pulse wave sensor, a signal oscillator for electrical stimulation production, an electrical stimulation pulse output unit for outputting electrical stimulation pulses according to the output signal of the signal oscillator for electrical stimulation production, and a gate for controlling the connection between the signal oscillator for electrical stimulation production and the electrical stimulation pulse output unit according to the systolic signal supplied by the systolic period signal producing unit.

A low frequency curing apparatus includes a power source; a boosted pulse generating unit for generating a train of boosted pulses in response to a first pulse signal; and accumulating unit for accumulating the boosted pulses to a predetermined amount; a low frequency pulse outputting unit for outputting the accumulated boosted pulses as low frequency pulses in response to a second pulse signal; a pair of electrode members able to be applied in a plane state to an object to be stimulated, for transmitting the low frequency pulses to the object; and a signal processing unit for outputting the first and second pulse signals based on a predetermined algorithm. A pulse width or a pulse interval of the first pulse signal or second pulse signal is changed, and as a result, a variety of low frequency stimulation effects can be applied to the object to be stimulated.

An apparatus for detecting a high frequency artifact contained in an electrocardiogram signal is disclosed, which enables the presence of the high frequency artifact to be detected with a high precision by extracting high frequency components having a frequency and amplitude equal to or more than a predetermined value within a predetermined time interval of the input electrocardiogram signal by converting the high frequency components to pulses, by counting the pulses, and by comparing the counted pulses with the predetermined value. A method for controlling an iron ore pelletizing and pellet processing operation by evaluating the results of the on-stream analysis of the apparent specific gravity or apparent density distributions of the dry and fired pellet samples which permits the operator of the process to determine if any changes in the process control factors are required in order to impart into the fired pellets an apparent specific gravity or apparent density distribution optimized therefor as the fired pellets are used as a blast furnace charge composition. The method includes the use of an apparent specific gravity measuring step wherein a pellet process stream is periodically sampled and the pellet samples are presented in sequence to a weight measurement unit capable of producing an electric signal proportional to the weight of each sample, from which it proceeds into a volume measurement unit photoelectrically responsive thereto to produce an electric signal proportional to the volume of the sample. A computer is provided in response to the electric signals to compute the apparent specific gravity of each of the samples. This permits a rapid and accurate record of sample analysis to be maintained for the effective control of the process factors.
