In a general embodiment, a peritoneal dialysis system includes a peritoneal dialysis fluid supply, a supply line in fluid communication with the peritoneal dialysis fluid supply, the supply line terminating at a supply connector, a patient connector in fluid communication with a patient's indwelling catheter, and a device configured to be placed around at least one of the supply connector and the patient connector during a connection of the supply connector and the patient connector, the device including an ultraviolet ('UV') transmissive material to allow UV energy to be directed inwardly through the device towards a mating surface of the at least one of the supply connector and the patient connector during the connection of the supply connector and the patient connector.

Peritoneal dialysis connection system and method for using ultraviolet light emitting diodes

Peritoneal dialysis systems and methods are provided by the present disclosure. In a general embodiment, a peritoneal dialysis system includes a peritoneal dialysis fluid supply, a supply line in fluid communication with the peritoneal dialysis fluid supply and terminating at a supply connector, a patient connector in fluid communication with a patient's indwelling catheter, a device configured to connect the supply connector to the patient connector without a user having to physically contact the supply connector or the patient connector, and a housing placeable around the connecting device and including a plurality of ultraviolet ('UV') light-emitting diodes ('LED's') positioned to direct energy towards at least one of the supply connector and the patient connector.

Peritoneal dialysis systems are provided by the present disclosure. In a general embodiment, a peritoneal dialysis system includes a cycler, a disposable cassette operable with the cycler, a supply bag connected to the disposable cassette, a supply connector, a supply line extending from the disposable cassette, a patient connector in fluid communication with a patient's indwelling catheter, a device to connect the supply connector to the patient connector, and a housing around the device. The housing includes a plurality of ultraviolet ('UV') light-emitting diodes ('LED's') for directing energy towards at least one of the supply or patient connectors. The LED's are configured to deliver about 200 milliJoules in a period of about a minute.

A light applicator for a peritoneal dialysis conduit connection includes a housing having a inner surface; a plurality of ultraviolet ('UV') light-emitting diodes ('LED's') positioned on the inner surface of the housing; and circuitry connected to the UV-LED's such that power can be supplied to energize the UV-LED's simultaneously.

A liquid-crystal projector with a light source, a projection lens set, and a liquid-crystal panel arranged between the light source and the projection lens set for displaying a video signal included in an odd field and a video signal included in an even field alternately at a predetermined period of time by the same pixels thereof in synchronization with a vertical synchronizing signal in the video signal. The liquid-crystal projector includes a wedge-shaped prism rotating device arranged between the projection lens set and a screen. The wedge-shaped prism rotating device includes an electromagnetic solenoid for converting a reciprocating motion of a solenoid plunger to a periodic rotational motion of a wedge-shaped prism about its optic axis clockwise and counterclockwise. The liquid-crystal projector also includes a control unit associated with the prism rotating device, for producing the periodic rotational motion in synchronization with the vertical synchronizing signal, so that both projected positions of picture images on the screen, each image included in either one of the odd and even fields, are offset to each other by one-pixel.

A color video projector as disclosed which includes a cabinet having a depressed top deck, and a mirror carrying L-shape mounting board pivotally carried by a pair of slidably movable arms, guide grooves on the side edges of said top deck and guide pins protruding from the mounting board ride in the guide grooves during withdrawal of the mounting board. The board can only be rocked to its upright position when the arms are fully extended and can only be rocked back to its original position when the arms are fully extended and from which position the mounting board can be pushed back into the cabinet with the mirror above the top deck.
