A subframeis connected via a vibration isolatorto a floorof a railway car body, and the subframehas a center pinprotruding downward therefrom and connected to a bogie. The subframeis connected to a coupling device, and is disposed so as to come into contact with stopperson side beamsof the car body. According to this structure, since the coupling deviceis not directly connected to the car body, there is no need to weld a rigid member to the bottom surface of the floor, and the railway car body can be manufactured easily. Moreover, since the subframeis connected to the floorvia a vibration isolator, less noise is transmitted to the car body. Power is transmitted from the coupling deviceor bogieto side beams, so the structure of the car body can be simplified.

The rotation vibrations which are generated from a system drive of a running electric motor, a reduction gear unit and a shaft coupling are transmitted to the connection member and the car body through the traction link. The vibration energy generated in the connection member is converted to kinetic energy in the particle-shaped members by collisions between the particle-shaped members inside the connection member and, so that the vibrations in the connection member can be reduced. Accordingly, the propagation of the vibrations to the car body can be restrained. In a railway vehicle bogie car, the vibrations which are generated by an unbalance of the drive system can be restrained, and the noise inside the car produced by the vibrations can be reduced.
