A seat having a seating face made of sheet resilient material is assembled from a seat frame comprising a substantially quadrilateral frame body, the sheet resilient material forming the seating face, a pad member forming a largely rising bank, and a skin material enclosing the pad member, wherein the sheet resilient material is stretched within a frame body of the seat frame, one end of the skin material is abutted against and fixed on the frame body of the seat frame, the pad member is assembled outside the seat frame, the skin material covers outside of the pad member from the one end which is abutted against and fixed on the frame body of the seat frame, and the other end is wound and stopped around a back of the seat frame, a bank which rises larger than the surface position of the seating face made of the sheet resilient material which is stretched within the frame of the seat frame is formed, and the bank is assembled as a strong bank with a simple structure, and the pad member prevents the seat frame from touching a sitting passenger so that the sitting passenger should not feel a sense of incongruity.

A seat is provided which comprises a generally quadrilateral seat frame and a seat cushion formed from a resilient sheet and provided bridging between lateral sides of, and inside, the seat frame. A cushion member is provided opposite to the resilient sheet and bridging between lateral sides of, and inside, the seat frame. The cushion member is deflectable, under the weight of a sitting person, along with the resilient sheet which mainly receives the weight of the sitting person on the seat.

A trim cover 5 capable of vending and deforming together with the sheet resilient material by pressure of a body of a sitting passenger is stretched within the frame of the frame body such as to face a front surface side of the sheet resilient material 2. With this structure, it is possible to suppress the air from an air conditioner in a vehicle from directly flowing from the seating face to a sitting passenger, thereby preventing the excessive effect of the air conditioner in the vehicle. Further, the design of the entire seat can be enhanced.

An improved process for producing a laminated resin foam composed of two resin foam layers of different characteristic properties wherein the layers are integrally bonded together. A first foamable resin liquid for forming flexible foam is poured into a first space in a foam processing mold on one side of a barrier projecting from the wall of the mold and pouring a second foamable resin liquid for forming a foam less flexible than the first flexible foam into a second space in said foam processing mold on the other side of said barrier. The two foamable resin liquids foam beyond the barrier into contact with each other to form the two laminated foam layers. One improvement in the process includes wetting a substantial portion of the mold cavity with the first foamable resin liquid. Various shapes of molds and barriers will produce different shapes and characteristics of the resultant foam pad, such as for a car seat.
