A lock unit used for an electronic apparatus that includes a foldable and unfoldable housing that has a first surface that is foldable, and a second surface orthogonal to the first surface includes a lock member that locks the housing in a folded state, an operation member that moves the lock member and releases a lock of the housing by the lock member, and a transmission mechanism that transmits a driving force applied to the operation member to the lock member by changing an operating direction of the operation member to another direction, and moves the lock member in the other direction, wherein the operation member is provided on the second surface, and an operating direction of the operation member is a first direction perpendicular to the second surface, the lock member projecting in a second direction orthogonal to the first surface, and a moving direction of the lock member being a third direction orthogonal to the first and second directions.

A heat sink that radiates n exoergic circuit elements mounted on a circuit board includes a housing that has a heat-receiving surface that receives heat from the n exoergic circuit elements, and n+2 fixture parts to each of which a fixture member is attachable, each fixture member compressively fixing the housing onto the circuit board, wherein n is equal to or greater than 2, the heat sink is used to commonly radiate the n exoergic circuit elements, and a line that connects two fixture members to each other among n+2 fixture members passes between two centers of gravity of two adjacent exoergic circuit elements.

The present invention relates to various types of electronic apparatus having a folding structure via hinges and aims to help further enrich and compact functions. The apparatus includes: a first enclosure having a circuit component; a hinge unit rotatably connected to the first enclosure via a hinge; and a second enclosure having a circuit component and connected to the first enclosure via the hinge unit, in which the hinge unit has a circuit component.

The present invention relates to an electronic apparatus having: a base section to be placed on a flat surface such as the top of a desk; a standing section standing on the base section; an open/close section rotatably supported by the standing section and openable/closable with respect to the standing section; and an electronic circuit incorporated therein. The present invention aims to achieve appropriate distribution of weight. The base section has a battery-pack storing section that stores a battery pack for supplying power to the electronic circuit of the electronic apparatus.

An attachment member is coupled to a panel member at the peripheral outward surface of the panel member. A predetermined coupling mechanism serves to establish the connection. The attachment member receives an attached component behind the panel member. No urging forces are thus applied to the panel member in the direction perpendicular to the back surface of the panel member when the attachment member is coupled to the panel member. The panel member can reliably be prevented from suffering from damages or breakage.

An electronic apparatus has an enclosure body defining an opening for receiving a plug. A restraint member is disposed in the opening. The restraint member is designed to contact the plug. When the plug is inserted into the opening so as to reach the connector, the plug contacts the restraint member within the opening. Even when an impact is applied to the plug, the movement of the plug is thus restrained based on the contact between the plug and the restraint member. No impact is transmitted to the connector. The connector is thus reliably prevented from getting damaged.

Information processing apparatus, particularly a plane display unit used both for a display and an inputting device is required to be small-sized when it is attached to a housing. For this purpose, a flat rectangular plane display unit is attached to the housing by means of fixing members at three positions; left and right sides and an upper central positions. The left and right sides of the plane display unit are fixed to a back cover with screws using the fixing members and the upper central position of the plane display unit is clamped by the fixing member to be fixed to the housing.

An antenna not requiring screws etc. for affixing it to a liquid crystal display unit, able to be applied in the same shape and dimensions even for units of different dimensions or shapes, and giving a good radiating characteristic and gain characteristic of the antenna itself, provided with a support designed to straddle a projecting ridge of a housing and supported by the housing, a ground contact spring extending from the support to the side surface of the unit to contact the side surface of the unit, and an antenna element extending from the support to the opposite side of the support from the ground contact spring; the support, ground contact spring, and antenna element being formed integrally by sheet metal.
