A thin film transistor array includes a substrate, a gate electrode formed on the substrate, a gate insulation film covering the gate electrode, a source electrode formed on the gate insulation film, a drain electrode formed on the gate insulation film, a semiconductor layer connected to the source electrode and the drain electrode, an interlayer insulation film formed on the drain electrode and the semiconductor layer, and a pixel electrode formed on the interlayer insulation film. The interlayer insulation film has a via hole that reaches a portion of the drain electrode, and the drain electrode has a liquid repellent coating on the portion positioned in the via hole.

A transistor array substrate includes a plurality of driving transistors which are arrayed in a matrix on a substrate. The driving transistor has a gate, a source, a drain, and a gate insulating film inserted between the gate, and the source and drain. A plurality of signal lines are patterned together with the gates of the driving transistors and arrayed to run in a predetermined direction on the substrate. A plurality of supply lines are patterned together with the sources and drains of the driving transistors and arrayed to cross the signal lines via the gate insulating film. The supply line is electrically connected to one of the source and the drain of the driving transistor. A plurality of feed interconnections are formed on the supply lines along the supply lines, respectively.

In an electrophotographic image forming machine, an alternating current (AC) voltage is applied by an AC electric source with a constant frequency to a conductive wire and an electrode plate so that an electric field whose direction is inverted in synchronization with the frequency occurs. A flexible liquid crystal display panel includes spacers and cross members which are prevented from moving and from exfoliating, respectively, even when a force is applied thereto. In this panel, upper and lower substrates have flexibility, and spacers coated with an adhesive are fixed to orientation films formed on the substrates, by means of the adhesive. Thus, even when a force is applied from the outside, the spacers are prevented from moving, and therefore the distance between the substrates can be kept constant and the display characteristics of the liquid crystal can be made uniform. Further, a sealing member interposed between the substrates has holes through which cross members are fitted. This means that the cross members are reinforced by the sealing member, and hence they can be prevented from exfoliating from the substrates, keeping good electrical connection.

In forming a first image and a second image on both sides of a recording paper by using an electrophotographic process, the first image is generated on a photosensitive drum, and is transferred to an intermediate transfer belt which can transfer and hold a developer image. The photosensitive drum and the intermediate transfer belt is disposed across a plane where the recording paper is conveyed. Subsequently, the second image is generated on the photosensitive drum after a developer remaining thereon has been removed, and is transferred to one side of the recording paper. After the second image has been fixed on one side of the recording paper, the first image is transferred from the intermediate transfer belt to the other side of the recording paper and fixed.
