A plunger is movable between a first position and a second position. The plunger separates a first movable contact from a first fixed contact and separates a second movable contact from a second fixed contact at the first position. The plunger presses a first movable piece toward a first fixed terminal to make the first movable contact into contact with the first fixed contact, and presses a second movable piece toward a second fixed terminal to make the second movable contact into contact with the second fixed contact at the second position. The plunger moves from the first position to the second position by being pressed by a pressing portion of an electric plug inserted into a third insertion port.

Power connector and power outlet

A first fixed terminal extends in a first direction. A second fixed terminal extends in the first direction and is disposed apart from the first fixed terminal in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A first magnet generates a magnetic field that applies a first Lorentz force in a first oblique direction to an arc generated at a first fixed contact and a first movable contact. The first oblique direction is a direction that is inclined with respect to the first direction and oriented away from the second fixed terminal. A second magnet generates a magnetic field that applies a second Lorentz force in a second oblique direction to an arc generated at a second fixed contact and a second movable contact. The second oblique direction is a direction that is inclined with respect to the first direction and oriented away from the first fixed terminal.

Provided are a control switch mechanism, a trigger switch, and an electric tool, having vibration resistance and durability and capable of preventing malfunction. The control switch mechanism () includes an optical sensor () having a light emitting element () and a light receiving element (), and a reflector () that increases or decreases an amount of light received by the light receiving element (). An increase and a decrease in output of an operation device are controlled along with an increase and decrease in amount of light received by the light receiving element () due to relative movement between the optical sensor () and the reflector ().

Control switch mechanism, trigger switch, and electric tool

A pair of open/close and current-passing movable contact pieces is supported on a movable contact terminal such that the pair is rotatable along with the reciprocation of an operating element. An open/close movable contact is mounted on the open/close movable contact piece and is rotatably biased by a spring member. A current-passing movable contact is mounted on the current-passing movable contact piece. By moving the operating element, a restriction imposed on a position of the operating element is released so that the open/close movable contact piece is rotated by a spring force of the spring member whereby the open/close movable contact is brought into pressure contact with an open/close fixed contact mounted on a fixed contact terminal. The current-passing movable contact piece is rotated by the operating element so that the current-passing movable contact is brought into pressure contact with a current-passing fixed contact mounted on the fixed contact terminal.

A terminal connection structure has a housing, a base housed in the housing, and a terminal unit having a pair of tab terminals disposed on the base, a pair of terminal portions disposed in the tab terminals in parallel, each of which is exposed from the housing and configured to be connected to an external terminal, and a terminal plate sandwiched between the pair of tab terminals.

A switch designed for dustproof performance by minimizing a route of entry of dust from a terminal portion, includes a plurality of terminals, a movable contact piece that is supported in a manner allowing displacement between a non-conduction position and a conduction position, and a contact actuating member that displaces the movable contact piece in response to an externally applied pressing force. A main body of the switch includes an opening communicating with the outside, partition walls formed between the opening and the movable contact piece, barrier walls formed between the opening and the movable contact piece, and passages formed by ends of the barrier walls and walls that are opposite the ends of the barrier walls. Each partition wall extends across the corresponding passage and each terminal includes a connection portion and a blocking portion that is bent from the connection portion and blocks the corresponding passage.

An electric tool has a rib projecting from an inner peripheral surface of the electric tool, and a trigger switch. The trigger switch has a housing having a housing venthole, a contact mechanism disposed in the housing, and a trigger that, when depressed into the housing, drives the contact mechanism. The housing of the trigger switch is bonded to the rib. The rib has a rib venthole. The housing venthole is communicated with the rib venthole. The rib venthole is covered with a filter.

A trigger switch has a trigger arranged projected and biased to a front side in a housing, and a lock member projecting from a side of the trigger towards the housing, and being engaged with a lock button projecting to the side from the housing to fix the trigger in a pulled-in state.
