A compressor includes a compression mechanism part for compressing refrigerant sucked from an outside of the hermetic container and discharging compressed refrigerant to a discharge space, an electric motor part composed of a stator and a rotor, facing a first space which is at an opposite side of the discharge space with respect to the compression mechanism part in the hermetic container, for driving the compression mechanism part through a main shaft, a passage at an external circumferential side of the compression mechanism part, for connecting the discharge space with the first space, and a fan provided at an end of the rotor, facing the first space. The refrigerant discharged into the discharge space passes through the passage at the external circumferential side of the compression mechanism part to reach the first space, and passes the fan to be discharged to the outside of the hermetic container.

Compressor

A rotary compressor having a piston provided integrally with a blade is contained in a hermetic vessel which is operated at a suction pressure of the rotary compressor and not to discharge pressure. The rotary compressor includes a compression mechanism portion having a cylinder which includes a suction port formed in a cylinder chamber, a piston which eccentrically revolves in the cylinder, a blade which is integrally formed with the piston and partitions the cylinder chamber into a high pressure chamber and a low pressure chamber, and a driving shaft for revolving the piston. The rotary compressor also includes an electric motor portion for rotating the driving shaft, a hermetic vessel which houses the compression mechanism portion and the electric motor portion and is in communication with the suction port thereby to maintain an interior of the hermetic vessel at a suction pressure atmosphere, and a discharge port formed in the cylinder chamber and in direct communication with an exterior of the hermetic vessel, whereby starting is smoothly performed, a motor having a large starting torque is not required, components such check valves can be avoided, and lubricating oils with stable viscosity can be used such that the compressor operates with environmentally-friendly refrigerants.

A scroll compressor comprising a fixed scroll, a rotating scroll, a compliant frame for supporting the rotating scroll in an axial direction and a main shaft for driving the rotating scroll in directions of radiuses of the rotating scroll, and a guide frame fixed to a hermetically sealed vessel for supporting the compliant frame in the directions of its radiuses, wherein the rotating scroll is slidable in the axial direction by sliding of the compliant frame on the guide frame; a space is formed between the compliant frame and the guide frame; and a pressure in the space is made to be a pressure higher than a suction pressure and the same as a discharge pressure or less, whereby relief of the rotating scroll is avoidable to quickly and constantly realize a state of normal operation.

Scroll compressor

A scroll type compressor which includes a compression unit, a crankshaft having an oil passage therein, and an electric motor stator having an oil return hole. An oil pump feeds oil into the oil passage of the crankshaft, and an oil drain tube receives return oil from the compression unit and feeds the oil to the oil return hole of the electric motor stator. The drain oil tube advantageously includes an upper nonflexible drain opening which receives oil from the compression unit. The oil then passes through a nonflexible portion which includes a bend or bent portion, and then to a flexible portion which extends from the elbow into the oil return hole of the electric motor stator.

A reliable scroll-type compressor is provided which, even when the compressor is rotated in the reverse direction by the erroneous connection of the power source terminals for example, is prevented from establishing a vacuum state within the compression chamber and no damages occur in the addendum of the stationary scroll and the orbiting scroll. The compressor includes a gear pump which includes a pump case and a pump port. The arrangement of the present invention is such that the pump case alone rotates by 180 degrees upon the reverse rotation of the motor, so that lubricating oil which is at the bottom of a hermetic vessel can be ensured to be supplied by the gear pump to each sliding portion of the compressor.

A scroll compressor features a pair of a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll for forming a compression chamber; an orbiting bearing provided on the counter-compression chamber side of the orbiting scroll; a slider fitted to a slider fitting shaft at one end of a main shaft in such a way that the slider is slidable within a surface perpendicular to the axis of the main shaft, the slider being fitted in the orbiting bearing, a sliding direction of the slider is inclined toward the eccentric direction of the orbiting scroll by a predetermined amount in the rotational direction of the main shaft, in which a recess is provided on the groove end side in the eccentric direction of the slider. Further an elastic member is inserted in the recess between the groove end side in the eccentric direction and the slider fitting shaft while both ends of the plate are supported with respect to the recess. The slider fitting shaft is formed in an arcuate configuration as long as the contact surface between the flat plate and the slide fitting shaft is concerned, and the spiral bodies of the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll both are made to radially contact each other in the eccentric and counter-eccentric directions of the orbiting scroll after the elastic member is deformed by a predetermined amount. During normal gas compression, the radial gap between both scrolls is reduced to zero in order to effect the compressive action without leakage, whereas during liquid compression, such a radial gap is generated so that the pressure may be relieved.
