A motor driving circuit includes a window opening switch, a window closing switch, an auto switch, a motor which opens and closes a window by driving rotating operation, a charging circuit which charges one capacitance element by a first CR time constant upon operating the window opening switch, and a discharging circuit which sharply charges another capacitance element upon operating the auto switch and which discharges a discharging voltage charged to the other capacitance element by a second CR time constant upon stopping operation of the auto switch. Driving operation of the motor stops when a voltage of the one capacitance element in the charging circuit is higher than a first reference voltage or a voltage of the other capacitance element in the discharging circuit is lower than a second reference voltage during driving the motor.

Motor driving circuit

When an operation switch of a motor control circuit is switched on or when the operation switch and an automatic operation switch are simultaneously switched on, a switching device is switched on to energize a relay winding and a contact in the relay is switched to drive a motor. When an overcurrent is passed to a current detecting resistor and a temperature rise in the current detecting resistor is detected by the temperature dependent resistor and/or when a rise in a voltage across terminals of the current detecting resistor is detected by an overvoltage detecting circuit, the switching device is switched off via the bias circuit to thereby stop the driving of the motor.

Motor control circuit having motor protective circuit

A submergence detection power-window apparatus is provided with driving motors for moving electric-power driven opening units to opened and closed states, manual switches for manually opening/closing the electric-power driven opening units, control units for driving the motors into rotation in accordance with operations carried out on the manual switches, a submergence detector for detecting submergence of a car body and generating a submergence detection signal and a fastened/loosened seat-belt detector for detecting fastened/loosened states of a seat belt and generating a loosened-seat-belt detection signal in a loosened state of the seat belt wherein the control units drive the motors into rotation in directions to open the electric-power driven opening units when the manual switches are operated to open the electric-power driven opening units provided that a submergence detection signal is received from the submergence detector and a loosened-seat-belt detection signal is received from the fastened/loosened seat-belt detector.

Submergence detection power-window apparatus

A power window device which uses a driving source such as a motor and the like for opening and closing a window, and a controlling device used for the same, have a submersion detecting element for detecting intrusion of water in the event that the automobile is submerged in water and a switching device (including a first switch for manually instructing the opening operation of the window, a second switch for manually instructing the closing operation of the window, a first driving unit comprised of a relay and the like for connecting the power source to the driving source such that the driving source is driven in the direction of opening the window, based on the operation of the first switch, a second driving unit comprised of a relay and the like for connecting the power source to the driving source such that the driving source is driven in the direction of closing the window, based on the operation of the second switch, and a control unit), so that the control unit can execute control for realizing opening action of the window in a sure manner by operating of the first switch even in the event that the switching device is submerged, in the event that the submersion detecting element detects intrusion of water.
