A banknote account and arrangement apparatus includes a supply portion for supplying a group of banknotes in the apparatus one after another, a discrimination circuit for discriminating denomination, face, fitness, authenticity, and the like of the supplied banknotes, temporary stackers in which the banknote is stacked in an account mode, closed cassettes coupled to the temporary stackers, open pockets in which the banknote is stacked in an arrangement mode, a RAM for collecting data of the banknote stacked in the temporary stackers, a CPU for verifying the collected data of the banknote stacked in the temporary stackers with known data of the bundle of the banknotes, pushers and shutters for, only when a verification result is correct, stacking the banknote stacked in the temporary stackers in the closed cassettes, and a display portion for displaying the collected data. When an interruption command is input in the account mode, data collection is temporarily interrupted, and an operation in the arrangement mode is performed using the open pockets while storing the collected data.

After the temporary stackers are replaced with empty ones, the banknote stacked in the open pockets are stacked in the temporary stackers without collecting the data.

A sheet processing apparatus comprises conveyor belts for conveying a plurality of supplied sheets one by one and optical detecting units for optically detecting sheets conveyed in the convey belts, and performs predetermined processing while the sheets are being conveyed by the conveyor belts. The apparatus further comprises cleaning pads, provided in the apparatus, for cleaning the optical detecting units and cleaning actuating units, provided in the apparatus, for actuating the cleaning pads to clean the optical detecting units.

Sheet-processing apparatus including optical sensor cleaning device

In a paper sheet dispensing apparatus according to the present invention, horizontally stacked bills are removed by a dispensing roller through a dispensing port one by one. When the dispensing operation is completed, one end of the stack of bills which is located furthest away from the dispensing port is held by an upper flapper, and the stack is moved by a predetermined distance in a stacking direction away from the position of the dispensing roller as the upper flapper moves. Thereafter, the upper flapper from the stack of bills is released, and the stack is moved toward the dispensing roller by an urging force of a spring and is brought into contact with the dispensing roller.

Paper sheet dispensing apparatus

An automatic bank note transaction apparatus according to the present invention is provided. A first storing section stores bank notes, and a first conveying path conveys bank notes inserted through a bank note receiving port, to the first storing section. A discrimination section is disposed in the first convey path, which discriminates and bank note passing therethrough. A second conveying path conveys the bank notes from the first storing section to the bank note dispensing port through the discrimination section. A second storing section is provided for storing the bank notes which have been subjected to final examination which is a remaining notes counting and characterizing operation for bookkeeping purposes. A third conveying path is used for conveying the bank notes from the first storing section to the second storing section through the discrimination section when the final examination operation is specified. A display section displays an output representing the number of bank notes passing along the third convey path in accordance with the discrimination result by the discrimination section when the final examination operation is specified.

Automatic bank note transaction apparatus

An automatic bank note transaction apparatus comprises a bank note receiving section disposed opposite to a cash inlet/outlet slot inside a housing to receive bank notes collectively put in the housing through the cash inlet/outlet slot. A conveyance path successively introduces and conveys the bank notes received in the bank note receiving section one by one to a discriminator which detects the denomination of the bank notes introduced and conveyed by the conveyance path. Distributing gates sort the bank notes by denomination according to the result of the discrimination by the discriminator into temporary collecting sections. The notes may then be transferred to safe sections provided for the several denominations. Apparatus is provided for retrieving notes from the safe sections for withdrawal by a user. Thus, the deposited notes which are transferred to the safe sections are added to notes which may be used for withdrawal.

An automatic bank note transaction apparatus comprises a discriminator for discriminating fit notes from unfit notes among the bank notes conveyed by a conveyance path, and identifying the denomination of the fit notes, sorting gates for sorting the bank notes according to the result of discrimination by a discriminator, and distributing the fit notes by denomination, temporary collecting sections for temporarily collecting the bank notes sorted by the sorting gates, storage chambers for storing bank notes of each denomination judged to be fit, a return path for returning the bank notes collected in the temporary collecting sections to a return outlet of a housing, and shutters located between the temporary collecting sections and the storage chambers for guiding the temporarily collected bank notes into the storage chambers when a user approves depositing or into the return path when the user disapproves depositing.

In an automatic bank note transaction apparatus, bank notes inserted therein through a bank note inlet slot are transferred from a receiving chamber to an introduction-transfer path, fit sheets are discriminated from unfit ones among the bank notes by a discriminator during the transfer, and then the fit and unfit sheets are allotted or distributed by gates so that the unfit sheets are collected in a temporary unfit sheet collecting section and that the fit sheets are collected in temporary fit sheet collecting sections provided for several kinds of bank notes. One and the other ends of a return path for the bank notes are connected with the temporary unfit sheet collecting section and the receiving chamber, respectively, so that the unfit sheets may be once returned to the receiving chamber and then introduced therefrom again into the introduction-transfer path. The temporary fit sheet collecting sections are selectively connected with the return path so that the fit sheets in these collecting sections may also be returned to the receiving chamber at a customer's request.

A bank note depositing device for a transaction machine comprises a cabinet having a depositing inlet through which at least one bank note is deposited into the transaction machine, a storing pocket positioned within the cabinet and adjacent the depositing inlet for temporarily storing the bank notes entering the machine through the depositing inlet, the storing pocket having an outlet through which the notes are discharged, a discharge roller for discharging the notes from the storing pocket, the discharge roller movable between a retracted position out of contact with the notes and an extended discharging position in contact with the notes, a support member positioned opposite the discharge roller on the opposite side of the notes, the support member movable between a retracted position away from the discharge roller and an extended discharge position toward the discharge roller to urge the notes into contact with the discharge roller.

Bank note depositing device for a transaction machine

Paper currencies taken out from a cash storing box removably loaded in an automatic cash issue machine by means of a cash take-out mechanism are temporarily accumulated in a temporary cash collecting section. The accumulated currencies are transported toward a cash discharge port by means of a drive endless belt. In this case, the endless belt presses down a bundle of currencies and cooperates with the drive belt to nip and transport the currencies bundled until these are partially exposed to exterior. At this time, a customer may easily take out the currencies bundled.

Automatic cash issue machine

Disclosed is an automatic cash dispensing machine whose casing has a substantially vertical front panel and a substantially horizontal top panel extending backward from the top edge of the front panel. On the horizontal top panel are a keyboard operation unit through which a customer is to designate an amount of money to be paid and a guide display unit for displaying instructions for the operations on the operation unit. On the vertical front panel are an identification card inlet and a cash outlet. This dispensing machine is formed of two types of consoles; a plurality of upper consoles may be electrically connected with a common lower console, in a mode of arrangement.

Disclosed is a receipt slip issuing apparatus for an automatic transaction system in which an identification card path crosses a blank path through which a two-ply details slip blank is fed, and a transcription mechanism for transferring card-borne information onto the blank is located in the position of such crossing. In a positional state for transcription on the blank, a printing mechanism corresponds to a first line to be printed of the blank, and a cutter is so located as to correspond to a position where a lower sheet of the blank is to be cut for each slip. A receipt slip outlet is disposed right under an I.D. card inlet-outlet, whereby a user may catch and draw out both his I.D. card and an issued receipt slip one-handed.

Disclosed is a dispensing-receiving apparatus for bank notes in which bank notes issued in accordance with an operator's designating operation and rejectable bank notes among ones received in the apparatus are both delivered through a single paying outlet formed in a control panel surface. A receiving device and a dispensing device of unit construction are piled up inside an apparatus casing. A return path system for rejectable note return, which is connected between a bank note intake conveyor system in the receiving device and a bank note takeout conveyor system in the dispensing device, is completed when both these devices are brought to respective setting positions in the apparatus casing.
