In a scroll compressor of the present invention, a fixed scrolland an orbiting scrollare meshed with each other such that spiral laps of the fixed scrolland the orbiting scrollinwardly face each other, an Oldham ringis provided between the main bearing memberand the orbiting scroll, and a key portion of the Oldham ringis inserted into a key grooveof the main bearing member. Groovesare formed in Oldham ringsliding surfaces on both sides of the key groove. According to this configuration, the Oldham ringand the main bearing membercan be restrained from coming into contact with each other in the vicinity of the bearing key groove, and restrained from vibrating, and it is possible to provide an inexpensive scroll compressor of low noise.

A motor-driven compressor is provided with a power supply terminal secured to a metallic housing and electrically connected to a power source. The power supply terminal includes a base secured to the metallic housing, a conductive element secured to the base, and an insulator for insulating the conductive element from the base. A portion of the conductive element and a portion of the insulator that are located inside the metallic housing are covered with an insulating resinous cover.

A controller 16 controls the temperature of a second heat exchanger 38 of the heat pump system 14 to a desired temperature based on a preset temperature. The controller 16 also controls the temperature of the water circulating through the heat exchanger 20 of the forced water supply system 9 to a temperature at which the quantity of heat exchange between the air heated by the second heat exchanger 38 to the desired temperature and the heat exchanger 20 of the forced water supply system is minimized. According to this air conditioning arrangement, the temperature of the vehicle interior can be promptly raised without any capability drop being caused and thus, the heating efficiency of the apparatus being well enhanced.

An air-conditioner has a hot-water heating system 110. The system includes a switch 140 for setting a temperature in an interior, a sensor 134 for sensing a temperature of water, a first relay 116 for controlling the water temperature, and a second relay 118 for preventing an overheating. A controller 130 is provided which controls the first relay to adjust the water temperature to a certain temperature based on the set temperature and the detected temperature. When the water temperature has increased to a predetermined temperature, the controller controls the second relay to disconnect between a heater 114 and a power source 120.

The temperature of the vehicle interior is controlled by the heat pump system under ordinary atmospheric temperature conditions. However, at very low temperatures, for example, at the temperature of -5.degree. C. or lower, the temperature of the vehicle interior is controlled by the forced water supply system. According to this air conditioning arrangement, it is possible to achieve energy-efficient air conditioning even under very low temperature conditions and to prevent any compressor damage due to the liquefaction of the refrigerant.

An automotive vehicle such as, for example, an electric car is provided with a liquid heating and circulating apparatus for heating the interior of the vehicle body. In a device for heating and circulating a fluid for vehicles wherein a fluid heating and delivering unit for heating and delivering a fluid, and a car room heat exchanger are annularly connected together to circulate the fluid in order to heat a car room, a bypass passage is installed in a fluid passage between the fluid heating and delivering unit and the car room heat exchanger, such that the bypass passage extends in a close vicinity to batteries to heat said batteries. A first heat exchanger implements heat exchange between refrigerant and atmosphere. During a third mode of operation, the refrigerant is circulated sequentially through the compressor, the third heat exchanger, the four-way valve, the refrigerant flow restricting device, the first heat exchanger, the four-way valve, and the compressor while being allowed by the bypass device to bypass the second heat exchanger.

A heat pump cooling-heating-dehumidifying system for an electric vehicle includes a compressor for compressing refrigerant, a refrigerant throttling device for achieving pressure reduction of the refrigerant, an out-room air-heat exchanger for heat-exchanging between the refrigerant and outside air, a first in-room air-heat exchanger for heat-exchanging between the refrigerant and air to be introduced into a car room, a second in-room air-heat exchanger provided downstream of the first in-room air-heat exchanger for selectively heat-exchanging between the refrigerant and the air which was heat-exchanged at the first in-room air-heat exchanger, and a four-way switching valve for switching a flow passage of the refrigerant. In each of the cooling operation and the dehumidifying-heating operation of the system, the refrigerant is circulated through the flow passage in order of the compressor, the second in-room air-heat exchanger, the four-way switching valve, the out-room air-heat exchanger, the refrigerant throttling device, the first in-room air-heat exchanger, the four-way switching valve and then the compressor. On the other hand, during the heating operation of the system, the refrigerant is circulated through the flow passage in order of the compressor, the second in-room air-heat exchanger, the four-way switching valve, the first in-room air-heat exchanger, the refrigerant throttling device, the out-room air-heat exchanger, the four-way switching valve and then the compressor.

Heat pump cooling-heating-dehumidifying system for electric vehicle

An air conditioning apparatus for an electric vehicle includes an electrically-driven compressor. A desired temperature is set which relates to one of a temperature of air discharged into a vehicle interior and a temperature within the vehicle interior. Detection is given of a temperature related to a heat exchanger. An inverter connected to the compressor is operative for driving the compressor at a variable speed corresponding to a desired rotational speed. A target temperature related to the heat exchanger is calculated in response to the desired temperature. Calculation is given of a difference between the detected temperature and the target temperature. Also, calculation is given of a variation in the detected temperature for every given period. A corrective rotational speed is calculated from the temperature difference and the temperature variation for every given period. Calculation is given of a sum of a current desired rotational speed of the compressor and the corrective rotational speed for every given period. The calculated sum is set as a new desired rotational speed of the compressor for every given period. The inverter is informed of the new desired rotational speed of the compressor.
