An RFID tag mounting circuit board has a configuration in which an RFIC chip, a minimum antenna, a circuit which matches the impedance of the RFIC chip and that of the antenna are mounted on a printed circuit board. With this configuration, the area occupied by the antenna of an RFID tag is suppressed, and a decrease in the component mounting density of the printed circuit board is also suppressed. The RFID tag mounting circuit board is configured to be capable of managing the histories of all components on a per-printed-circuit-board basis by attaching a reading device for an RFIC chip to a chip mounter which mounts an IC chip.

A wireless IC tag includes an IC chip with a response circuit for receiving a signal sent from an interrogator and transmitting a response signal in response to the received signal, a rectangular antenna connected to the response circuit, a first protective material hard in nature for covering the IC chip, and a second protective material, softer than the first protective material, for covering at least a part of the antenna, and the antenna is formed in a laminated structure of a plurality of flat members different in toughness so as not to fracture even when the antenna is bent by external forces.

A RFID tag read equipment includes a read device and an antenna system including first to third antennas. The read device outputs the question wave as a high-frequency current, and reads the predetermined data by demodulating the answer wave when the answer wave is inputted therein as a high-frequency current. The first to third antennas output the high-frequency current when they receive the electromagnetic wave, and radiate the electromagnetic wave when the high-frequency current is inputted therein. Here, the first antenna is connected to the read device via a feeder wire, the second antenna being located such that its radiation direction is made parallel and opposite to radiation direction of the first antenna, the third antenna being connected to the second antenna via a feeder wire.

RFID tag read system and method of reading RFID tag

The present invention discloses a method and system for making losses due to the counterfeiting of RF-ID tags to a minimum, enhancing the reliability of RF-ID tag read-out and improving the overall reliability of the RF-ID tag system. An ID reader for communicating by radio with the RF-ID tag and reading tag data from the RF-ID tag transmits the data read-out results to a terminal management server connected to the ID reader. The terminal management server decodes the error correction signal from the read-out result data, also extracts the identification number section from the tag, and decides whether or not that identification number is valid. When determined to be a valid identification number, an inquiry is made to the system operation server connected over the network to find out if that identification number was previously read out and if that identification number might be counterfeit. The system operation server then refers to the log database, the blacklist database and process transition rule, calculates the probability of counterfeiting and automatically sends a warning message to the related department when there is a high probability of counterfeiting.

Method and system for identifying and managing radio frequency identification (RF-ID) attached objects

The RFID tag is composed of the first antenna of metal film layer on which the IC chip is mounted and at least one second antenna of metal film layer on which the IC chip is not mounted The metal film layer is formed on the base, and the metal film layer is formed on the base. The metal film layer partially overlaps the metal film layer with the base interposed between them, so that the first antenna and the second antenna are capacitively coupled to each other.

A tablet PTP package contains a multiplicity of tablets by a resin PVC and a metal sheet such as an aluminum sheet. An elongate space pattern is formed in a part of the aluminum sheet on the lower surface of the package to form an island area constituting an antenna. A small radio IC inlet including an IC chip mounted on a small antenna is arranged on the reverse surface (upper surface of the package) of the portion of the aluminum sheet corresponding to the island area. The small radio IC inlet and the second antenna formed by the island area are electrostatically coupled to each other with the resin PVC as a dielectric member, and thus a RFID (radio frequency identification) tag is configured.

Radio frequency identification tag and manufacturing method thereof

To improve electronic part packaging efficiency without sacrificing the transmission distance of a radio IC tag, a recess is formed in the front side surface of a printed wiring board. An IC chip is placed in the recess so that the IC chip does not protrude from the front side surface, a first major surfaceand a second major surface of the printed wiring board. Antenna elements of an antenna are formed on the front side surface on the opposite sides, respectively, of the IC chip, and the antenna is connected to the IC chip. A liquid crystal display with an IC tag in which information of an IC chip can be read from the surface of the liquid crystal display, while the IC chip can be mounted on the small-size liquid crystal display without lowering the attraction of design thereof. A common electrode is formed in a wide region of an upper electrode layer constituting the liquid crystal display. Antennas are formed in a region of an edge portion of the upper electrode layer where the common electrode is not formed, and within the region of a surface-side glass. An IC chip is placed out of the region of the surface-side glass. X-axis and Y-axis matrix electrodes are formed in a region of a lower electrode layer opposite to the common electrode.

Liquid crystal display mounted with IC tag and method for manufacturing the same

An antenna apparatus which ensures a wide reading area on a reader antenna and a reading operability of information recorded in a small-sized radio frequency IC tag is provided. The apparatus includes an auxiliary antenna of &#x3bb;/2 long disposed near to a radiating antenna of &#x3bb;/2 long and including plural conductive elements in an array. When the IC tag approaches the auxiliary antenna, a subsidiary tuning circuit is formed between it and an inlet antenna of IC tag, so making tuning complementary to each other. The inlet antenna having an antenna length shorter than the tuning frequency can receive energy from the auxiliary antenna efficiently and is excited integrally with the auxiliary antenna to thereby spread a reading area by apparatus and increase the communication distance.

Antenna apparatus

A radio frequency IC tag is provided which is excellent in weatherability, dustproofness, waterproofness, and static protection and capable of making a communication distance long even though each antenna section is made small in configuration. A first antenna equipped with an IC chip is formed on an upper surface of a first spacer. A second antenna is formed on a lower surface of a top cover. A second spacer is shaped in hollow form. The first spacer and the top cover are disposed on both sides of the second spacer with the first antenna and the second antenna being opposite to each other. Each of the first spacer, the second spacer and the top cover is formed of a synthetic resin. Thus, the IC chip and each antenna section are not exposed to the outside and hence weatherability is enhanced.

Radio frequency IC tag and method for manufacturing same

Method for manufacturing a small radio frequency IC tag, where the radio frequency IC tag which can obtain sufficiently long communication distance with radio wave in the microwave band even if an antenna is made small and the radio frequency IC tag is embedded in metal material. An O-shaped antenna is formed to narrow the width of a neck part in which an IC chip is mounted and widen the width of radiating electrodes constituting radiating part of radio wave. The radiating electrodes are formed into offset structure on right and left sides of the feeding point so that areas of right and left radiating parts of the feeding point in which the IC chip is mounted are unsymmetrical. Further, a ground electrode is provided so that a dielectric body is held between the radiating electrodes and the ground electrode and the radiating electrode is connected to the ground electrode at the side of the dielectric body.

Method for manufacturing radio frequency IC tag

An RFIC tag includes an IC chip and a thin metal plate. The IC chip is mounted approximately in the center of a slit part on the thin metal plate. The thin metal plate has connecting parts at both longitudinal-direction ends fixed on a metal member by soldering, and the undersurface of the slit part, which has an L-shaped slit thereon, is lifted a predetermined height from the surface of the metal member. The total length (L+L+L) is &#xbc; or shorter than the communication wavelength &#x3bb;.

Radio frequency integrated circuit tag and method of using the RFIC tag

A radio frequency IC tag and a manufacturing method for the same includes an IC chip on which information is stored, and an antenna for transmitting the information that is stored on the IC chip. In the antenna, a power-feeding part on which the IC chip is mounted extends along a direction in which an electric current flows. Radiation parts are formed so that the width of the radiation parts becomes wider than that of the power-feeding part with respect to the longitudinal axis of the power-feeding part. The radiation parts extend from the power-feeding part, at both sides thereof, along the direction in which the electric current flows.
