A battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a plurality of unit cells, each including a case and an electrode terminal protruding from the case; and a bus bar which electrically connects any pair of unit cells among the plurality of unit cells, and the bus bar includes: a terminal coupler which is inserted between respective electrode terminals of the pair of unit cells; and a case coupler which is inserted between respective cases of the pair of unit cells.

Disclosed is a secondary battery, which can minimize occurrence of a short-circuit between a cap plate and an electrode assembly while maximizing the size of an electrolyte injection hole of an inner case. The secondary battery includes at least one electrode assembly, an insulating inner case accommodating the electrode assembly, an outer case accommodating the electrode assembly and the inner case, and a cap plate sealing an opening of the outer case, wherein the inner case has a top surface corresponding to the cap plate and an injection hole for electrolyte injection located in the top surface.

The terminals protrude through the cap plate.

A secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly, a case accommodating the electrode assembly, a cap plate sealing the case and including an inversion plate, an insulation plate including a short-circuit hole corresponding to the inversion plate and a first air hole spaced apart from the short-circuit hole and formed along a top surface of the cap plate, the insulation plate being coupled to the top surface of the cap plate, and a terminal plate coupled to a top surface of the insulation plate and electrically coupled to the electrode assembly. The first air hole is a hole coupling from a top portion of the inversion plate to the outside of the insulation plate.

A secondary battery may include a fuse formed in an electrode terminal. In exemplary embodiments, the secondary battery may include an electrode assembly including a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate and a separator, a current collector plate electrically connected to the electrode assembly, a case accommodating the electrode assembly, the current collector plate and an electrolyte, and an electrode terminal electrically connected to the current collector plate and protruded to an outside of the case, wherein the electrode terminal portion includes a protrusion part electrically connected to the current collector plate in a normal condition and selectively electrically disconnectable therefrom.

A rechargeable battery includes an electrode assembly; a case accommodating the electrode assembly; a cap plate covering the case and including an injection hole sealed by a ball; and a terminal plate covering the injection hole and the ball.
