A playback device is provided. The device includes an interface. The interface includes a first radio to communicate in a first frequency range and a second radio to communicate in a second frequency range that at least partially overlaps with the first frequency range. The interface is configured to, after a determination that an operation is to be performed by one radio from the plurality of wireless radios, obtain a parameter. The parameter includes an indication of a protocol to be used in the operation. The interface is configured to determine a priority radio with reference to an interval associated with the first radio or the second radio and an amount of isochronous data to communicate within the interval. The interface is configured to determine whether to allow the one radio to perform the operation based on the at least one parameter and the priority radio.

A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for performing an intelligent connectivity operation. The intelligent connectivity operation includes: generating an uplink packet by a client information handling system, the uplink packet corresponding to a particular packet traffic type; associating packet quality of service information with the uplink packet; receiving a down link packet to the client information handling system; determining whether the down link packet corresponds to the particular packet traffic type; and, associating the down link packet with the packet priority information of the uplink packet when the downlink packet corresponds to the particular packet traffic type.

An Information Handling System (IHS) includes executable instructions for establishing a communication session conveyed through a first band provided by an access point having a multi-band simultaneous protocol. When the instructions determine that the communication session should be conveyed through a second band provided by the access point (AP), they transmit one or more communication session parameters associated with the communication session to the access point to prepare a second band provided by the AP to convey the communication session. After transmitting the communication session parameters to the second band MAC component of the IHS and the second band MAC component of the AP, the instructions then initiate a switch over to the second band.

In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: receive context information; predict a loss of a first wireless connection based upon the context information; in response to the prediction, start scanning for a second wireless connection while maintaining the first wireless connection; and switch to the second wireless connection prior to losing the first wireless connection.

A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for performing an intelligent connectivity operation. The intelligent connectivity operation includes: identifying a plurality of quality parameters associated with respective network traffic types of an application, each respective network traffic type having an associated traffic stream; constructing a preference mapping, the preference mapping being based upon the plurality of quality parameters associated with the respective aspects of the application; identifying a best-suited network link for each of the traffic streams, the determining using the preference mapping; and, assigning each network traffic stream to a particular network link based upon the identifying the best-suited network link for each of the traffic streams.

The connectivity handover operation includes: identifying a Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) link, the WWAN link having an associated WWAN location quality identifier; identifying a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) link, the WLAN link having an associated WLAN location quality identifier; monitoring the associated WWAN location quality identifier and the associated WLAN location quality indicator; determining whether the WWAN link should be activated based upon the associated WLAN location quality identifier; and, performing the connectivity handover operation based upon the determining.
