An apparatus is provided. The apparatus performs operations including selecting a high efficiency long training field (HE LTF) sequence for a frame, selecting an HE LTF transmission mode from one of a 4× HE LTF mode, a 2× HE LTF mode, and a 1× HE LTF mode, transmitting only a set of allocated subcarriers of the HE LTF sequence for the frame, and transmitting a set of additional fields of the frame using the set of allocated subcarriers and a set of unallocated subcarriers. The set of additional fields includes a legacy short training field (L-STF), a legacy long training field (L-LTF), a legacy signaling field (L-SIG), a high efficiency signaling A field (HE-SIG-A), and a high efficiency short training field (HE-STF). Transmitting of the HE LTF sequence for the frame uses only one or more of the set of allocated subcarriers, and none of the unallocated subcarriers.

Long training field sequence construction

A method of transmitting a frame is provided by a device in a WLAN. The device sets as additional data subcarriers some of subcarriers which are not set as data subcarriers in at least part of fields included in a frame of a legacy frame format, and allocates information to the additional data subcarriers.

Frame transmitting method and frame receiving method

In wireless communications for a 20 megahertz (MHz) channel bandwidth, a first device may determine a high efficiency long training field (HE-LTF) mode. The first device may generate an HE-LTF symbol by using a portion or an entirety of an HE-LTF sequence corresponding to the channel bandwidth and HE-LTF mode. The first device may transmit, in the channel bandwidth, a high efficiency physical layer protocol data unit (HE PPDU) that includes the HE-LTF symbol. A second device may receive, in the 20 MHz channel bandwidth, a downlink HE PPDU that includes an HE-LTF symbol. The second device may obtain, from the HE-LTF symbol, a portion or an entirety of an HE-LTF sequence corresponding to the channel bandwidth and an HE-LTF mode of the HE-LTF symbol. The downlink HE PPDU may be the HE PPDU from the first device. Other methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

A first wireless device determines a function of a Wake-Up (WU) Packet, selects a length of the WU Packet from a predetermined set of lengths corresponding to the function, and generates the WU packet having the selected length. The WU packet includes a Legacy preamble having a first bandwidth and a WU payload having a second bandwidth less than and included within the first bandwidth. The WU payload including an indication of the function and a control indication usable to select the length from the predetermined set of lengths corresponding to the function. The first wireless device transmits the WU packet by transmitting the Legacy preamble on the first bandwidth and then transmitting the WU payload on the second bandwidth. A second wireless device receives the WU payload and determines a length of the WU packet using the indication of the function and the control information.

An operation method of a station in a wireless local area network (WLAN) is disclosed. An operation method of a first station comprises generating a high efficiency (HE) preamble including scheduling information of a plurality of reception stations; and generating a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) including a legacy preamble, the HE preamble, and a payload having data units to be transmitted to the plurality of reception stations. Therefore, a performance of WLAN may be enhanced.

Operation method of station in wireless local area network

Transmitting a frame may include determining a numerology according to a channel bandwidth, indicating the numerology in a field of a frame, and transmitting the frame using the numerology. Receiving a frame may include receiving a preamble of a frame, determining a numerology using the preamble, and receiving later portions of the frame using the numerology. Transmitting a frame may include, for a transmission time slot, determining a value of a first subcarrier of a first Space-Time Stream (STS), determining a value of a second subcarrier of the first STS, and determining, according to complex conjugates or negative complex conjugates of the values of the first and second subcarriers of the first STS, respective values of second and first sub carriers of a second STS. Transmitting a constellation point of a frame may be performed using an orphan subcarrier pair.

Support of frequency diversity mode for block code based transmission in OFDMA

The embodiments provide a method implemented by a network device for transmitting link adaptation feedback in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) that supports multi-user simultaneous transmission. The method generates and transmits a frame that includes one or more link adaptation feedback values associated with a wireless communications link between the network device and a second network device. In one aspect, the one or more link adaptation feedback values may include a link adaptation feedback value for an entire operation bandwidth of the wireless communications link and a link adaptation feedback value for a given subchannel within the operation bandwidth. In another aspect, link adaptation feedback values for one or more users of a multi-user simultaneous transmission are transmitted in a multi-user acknowledgment (ACK) frame. The embodiments allow for efficient link adaptation in a multi-user simultaneous transmission environment.

Link adaptation for multi-user transmission in 802.11 systems

In a WLAN, a device sets a first NAV to a bandwidth used by a signal from a second device. The device selects a channel that does not correspond to the bandwidth from among a plurality of channels when a predetermined condition is satisfied. The predetermined condition includes a condition that the first NAV is set. The device transmits a first frame on the selected channel.

Transmission method

A method of transmitting a frame is provided by a first device in a WLAN. The first device transmits a first frame including bandwidth information of a first channel to a second device and performs a communication with the second device through the first channel. The first channel is selected from among a plurality of channels into which an entire channel width is divided. Discontinuous channels are capable of being selected as the first channel from among the plurality of channels.
