The present disclosure discloses a method and device for indicating a network mode. The method comprises detecting a format of a value of a Public Land Mobile Network IDentity (PLMN-ID) in a system information block; and determining, when the value of the PLMN-ID is a value indicated according to a first preset format, the indicated value as information indicating that a network mode is a Neutral Host (NH) mode, wherein the first preset format is a format different from a second preset format which is a format of the PLMN-ID in an Evolved Packet Core (EPC) connected mode.
