A device may receive small cell data associated with a small cell, wherein the small cell data includes small cell location data and a small cell barometric pressure reading. The device may identify a calibration user device connected to the small cell and may receive, from the calibration user device, a user device barometric pressure reading. The device may calibrate, based on the user device barometric pressure reading, the small cell barometric pressure reading to obtain a calibrated small cell barometric pressure reading. The device may identify a reference weather station and may receive, from the reference weather station, weather station data, wherein the weather station data includes a weather station barometric pressure reading, and a weather station altitude that indicates an altitude of the reference weather station. The device may determine a small cell altitude based on the calibrated small cell barometric pressure reading and the weather station data.

Systems and methods for determining an altitude of a wireless station

In some implementations, an internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) may receive a device identity of the user device as part of an emergency call. The IMS may transmit the device identity to an emergency call server (ECS). The IMS may receive, from the ECS, a subscriber identity of the user device. The IMS may transmit the subscriber identity to a public safety answering point (PSAP) through a next generation core services (NGCS) network that uses a Stir and Shaken protocol. The emergency call is then established with a true subscriber identity of the user device.

Systems and methods for obtaining a subscriber identity for an emergency call

A device may connect to a first wireless network; determine whether the first wireless network provides a particular service for determining a position of the device; select the first wireless network as a primary network if the first wireless network provides the particular service for determining a position of the device, or select the second wireless network as the primary network if the first wireless network does not provide the particular service for determining a position of the device. If the device selects the first wireless network as the primary network, the device may send a first request to the first wireless network to make a first emergency call to an endpoint over the first wireless network.

Emergency call support using multiple network technologies

A method may include receiving, a session initiation protocol (SIP) Invite message associated with a Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) call made by a user device and determining if the SIP Invite message includes a geolocation header having location information associated with the user device. The method may also include in response to determining that the SIP Invite message includes a geolocation header having location information, initiating a location session with the user device and generating assistance data based on the location information, wherein the assistance data is to be used by the user device to generate assisted global positioning system (aGPS) measurements. The method may further include transmitting, to the user device and during the location session, the assistance data, receiving, from the user device, aGPS measurements based on the assistance data and determining, based on the aGPS measurements, a location of the user device.

Generating location information for an e911 call

A device may receive information associated with establishing a gateway connection. The gateway connection may be an ad hoc connection to a user device that permits the user device to transfer network traffic to/from a base station via another user device and without the user device directly connecting to the base station via a radio access network. The information being associated with determining that a gateway establishment condition is satisfied. The device may cause the gateway connection to be established based on the information associated with establishing the gateway connection. The device may cause the user device to utilize the gateway connection to transfer network traffic to/from the base station.

Providing a network gateway for user devices

A method may include receiving, at an application server, a session initiation protocol (SIP) message including a public user identifier (ID) associated a user. The public user ID corresponds to a plurality of user devices. The method also includes determining an applicable order of alerting at least one of the plurality of user devices. The method further includes identifying at least one available user device associated with the user, based on a terminal identifier (ID) associated with each at least one available user device. The method also includes selecting a user device from the at least one available user device based on the applicable order of alerting. A SIP invite message, including a terminal ID for the selected user device, is generated. The method includes sending the SIP invite message to the selected user device based on the applicable order of alerting, and receiving a response to the SIP invite message.

A device may receive, from multiple user devices associated with a shared identifier, registration information that includes a unique identifier for each user device of the multiple user devices, and capability information that identifies one or more capabilities of each user device. The device may store the registration information. The device may receive, from a service provider device, a query associated with providing a service, requiring a particular capability, to at least one of the user devices associated with the shared identifier. The query may include the shared identifier. The device may determine, based on the query and the stored registration information, a set of unique identifiers associated with the shared identifier, and may determine a set of capabilities corresponding to each unique identifier. The device may provide, to the service provider device, information that identifies the set of unique identifiers and the set of capabilities.

Providing a service to a user device based on a capability of the user device when the user device shares an identifier

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium provide to store packet data network (PDN) connection data pertaining to a user equipment connected to a network; store locale-to-packet data network gateway (PGW) data, wherein the locale-to-PGW data includes mappings between locales and PGWs to be used when the user equipment is located in the locales; receive a locale update pertaining to the user equipment; query the locale-to-PGW data in response to the locale update; determine, based on a result of the query, whether the user equipment is to be re-anchored to a different PGW than a PGW to which the user equipment is currently anchored; invoke a re-anchoring procedure, in response to a determination that the user equipment is to be re-anchored to the different PGW; and omit to invoke the re-anchoring procedure, in response to a determination that the user equipment is not to be re-anchored.

Credit card fraud prevention techniques are disclosed in which the authorization of a payment card may be performed using information obtained from a mobile device (e.g., a smart phone) associated with a user who initiates a point-of-sale payment card transaction. In one implementation, a device may receive a request for authorization of a payment associated with a payment card; and obtain location information relating to a location of a mobile device associated with a user of the payment card. The device may determine, based at least on a location of the point-of-sale terminal and the location of the mobile device, whether to authorize the request for authorization of the payment.

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium provide an emergency call support service in which a network device of a visited network obtains user profile data of a wireless device from a home network of the wireless device, and provides the user profile data to a location server of the visited network. A system may receive a registration request that identifies a first user device identifier. The system may determine that the first user device identifier is not registered. The system may transmit an authentication challenge. The authentication challenge may request one or more credentials associated with a subscriber profile. The first user device identifier may be associated with the subscriber profile. The system may cause the first user device identifier to be registered based on a challenge response. The first user device identifier may be registered based on a result of authenticating the registration request. The system may receive subscriber information that is associated with the first user device identifier, based on causing the first user device identifier to be registered. The system may determine that the subscriber information identifies a second user device that may be associated with the subscriber profile. The system may provide a notification.

Detecting a second user device identifier based on registration of a first user device identifier

A system may be configured to determine a floor of a building in which the user device is located at a time a call was placed. The information, indicating the determined floor, may be provided to a callee, such as a public safety answering point ('PSAP'). The floor may be determined based on, for example, comparing an altitude of the user device and/or a list of networks or devices that are visible to the user device, to a set of reference information.
