The method for driving a display panel includes: determining a brightness mode of the display panel, where the same display grayscale corresponds to different data voltages in different brightness modes; determining a data voltage characterization value according to the brightness mode, where the data voltage characterization value is used for characterizing a data voltage level in the brightness mode; determining a holding voltage corresponding to the data voltage characterization value according to the data voltage characterization value; and inputting, in a display holding frame of a current display image, the holding voltage to a source electrode of a drive transistor in each sub-pixel of the display panel.

The present application relates to a display device that is divided into a first region as a fingerprint recognition region and a second region as a display region with the first region having a first light transmittance greater than a second light transmittance of the second region. The light transmittance of the region corresponding to the fingerprint recognition module group in the display device of the present application can be increased, thereby further improving the sensitivity of the fingerprint recognition module group.

The drive integrated circuit decreases the amplitude of a data signal to generate a first data signal and transmits the first data signal to the scan drive circuit. The transmit control circuit converts the received first drive signal into a second drive signal with a preset duty cycle and transmits the second drive signal to the pixel circuit. The preset duty cycle of the second drive signal is greater than the duty cycle of the drive signal to be outputted.

The driving chip detects the positive power supply voltage (ELVdd) actually applied to plurality of pixel circuits, and automatically adjusts a minimum grayscale voltage (VREG) and a maximum grayscale voltage (VGS) based on the positive power supply voltage (ELVdd) actually applied to the plurality of pixel circuits, such that a certain difference value can be maintained between the data voltage (Vdata) and the positive power supply voltage (ELVdd) actually applied to the plurality of pixel circuits, thus eliminating Gamma offset.
