A gasifier, including a vertically disposed furnace body, a monitoring unit, and a microwave plasma generating device. The furnace body includes a material and fuel inlet, a syngas outlet, an oxygen/vapor inlet, and a slag outlet. The furnace body has a clearance zone in an upper part thereof and a fixed bed zone in a lower part thereof. The slag outlet is disposed at the bottom of the furnace body. The monitoring unit is disposed close to the syngas outlet. At least one microwave plasma generating device is disposed on the furnace body.

Fixed bed gasifier and method of gasification of biomass using the same

A gasifier including a vertically disposed furnace body, a feeder disposed in a middle part of the furnace body and communicating with the furnace body, one or two layers of microwave plasma generators, an external heater configured to supply external thermal energy for the gasifier, and a monitoring unit. The furnace body includes an upper nozzle for spraying vapor, a lower nozzle for spraying CO/vapor, a syngas outlet disposed at a top of the furnace body. The upper nozzle for spraying vapor is disposed in a clearance zone of the furnace body, and the lower nozzle for spraying CO/vapor is disposed in a bed zone of the furnace body. The monitoring unit is disposed close to the syngas outlet. The one or two layers of microwave plasma generators are disposed above the upper nozzle in the clearance zone of the gasifier.

Gasifier and method of using the same for gasification of biomass and solid waste

A biomass gasification system. The system includes: a) a gasifier; b) a waste heat exchanger; c) a waste heat boiler; d) a cyclone separator; e) a gas scrubber; f) a shift reactor; g) a desulfurizing tower; h) a first decarburizing tower; i) a synthesizing tower; and j) a second decarburizing tower. In the system, the gasifier, the waste heat exchanger, the cyclone separator, the gas scrubber, the shift reactor, the desulfurizing tower, the first decarburizing tower, the synthesizing tower, and the second decarburizing tower are connected sequentially. In addition, COoutlets of the first decarburizing tower and the second decarburizing tower are both connected to a cold medium inlet of the waste heat exchanger; and a cold medium outlet of the waste heat exchanger is connected to a gasifying agent entrance of the gasifier.

Method and system for recycling carbon dioxide from biomass gasification

A method for gasifying biomass using a gasifier, the gasifier including a furnace body and a fuel pretreatment system. The method includes 1) crushing and sieving a biomass fuel to yield particle size-qualified fuel particles, 2) exciting working gas to yield plasma, and spraying the plasma into the gasifier, 3) spraying the particle size-qualified fuel particles into the gasifier via nozzles, synchronously spraying an oxidizer via an oxygen/vapor inlet into the gasifier, and 4) monitoring the temperature and components of the syngas, regulating an oxygen flow rate, a vapor flow rate, and microwave power to maintain the process parameters within a preset range and to control a temperature of the syngas to be between 900 and 1200&#xb0; C., collecting the syngas from the syngas outlet at the top of the furnace body, and discharging liquid slag from the slag outlet.

Entrained-flow gasifier and gasification method using the same for synthesizing syngas from biomass fuel

A microwave plasma based entrained flow gasifier of biomass, including a furnace body and a fuel pretreatment system. The furnace body includes a fuel inlet disposed at the lower part of the furnace body, a syngas outlet disposed at the top of the furnace body, and a slag outlet disposed at the bottom of the furnace body. The fuel inlet presents in the form of nozzles. The fuel pretreatment system is disposed outside of the furnace body, and includes a fuel crushing apparatus, a sieving apparatus disposed downstream to the fuel crushing apparatus, a first fuel container for receiving particle size-qualified fuel, a second fuel container for receiving particle size-unqualified fuel, and a feeding hopper disposed downstream to the first fuel container. The first fuel container and the second fuel container are disposed side-by-side downstream to the sieving apparatus.

A method for recycling carbon dioxide from biomass gasification. The method includes: 1) employing carbon dioxide as a gasifying agent, allowing the carbon dioxide to gasify biomass to yield syngas; 2) cooling the syngas; 3) introduced cooled syngas to a cyclone separator and a gas scrubber for dust removal and purification; 4) allowing purified syngas in 3) to react with the vapor to modify a ratio of hydrogen to carbon monoxide of the syngas; 5) desulfurizing modified syngas to remove HS and COS therein; 6) decarburizing desulfurized syngas to separate carbon dioxide therein; 7) introducing desulfurized and decarburized syngas to a synthesizing tower to yield oil products and exhaust gas including carbon dioxide; 8) decarburizing the exhaust gas including carbon dioxide and separating the carbon dioxide; and 9) introducing the carbon dioxide separated in 6) and 8) to 1) as the gasifying agent for gasification.

A method for cooling and washing biomass syngas, the method including the following steps: 1) introducing biomass syngas having a temperature of between 1000 and 1100&#xb0; C., a dust content of less than 20 g/Nm, and a tar content of less than 3 g/Nmto a quench tower for condensing a slag; 2) introducing the biomass syngas after slag condensation to a waste heat boiler for recovering waste heat and condensing a heavy tar in the syngas; 3) introducing the biomass syngas from the waste heat boiler to a scrubbing-cooling tower for removing dust and decreasing a temperature of the syngas; and 4) introducing the biomass syngas after dust removal and temperature decrease from the scrubbing-cooling tower to an electro-precipitator for further removal of the dust and the tar.

Method and system for cooling and washing biomass syngas

A method of gasification of biomass using a gasification island. The gasification island includes: a biomass pre-treatment and storage unit, a biomass feeder, an external heat source, a gasifier, a crude syngas cooling unit, a crude syngas washing unit, a fresh syngas storage unit, and an ash and wastewater treatment unit. The method includes: pre-treating and storing biomass, gasifying the biomass in the gasifier, cooling a crude syngas, washing and removing dust from the crude syngas, and storing fresh syngas.

Method of gasification of biomass using gasification island

A method for purifying biomass syngas, including: a) introducing syngas out of a gasifier, through a water-cooling flue to a water-cooling quench tower; b) introducing the syngas from the water-cooling quench tower to a waste heat boiler of a water-tube type and a waste heat boiler of a heat-tube type; c) washing the syngas from the waste heat boiler of the heat-tube type in a Venturi scrubber in the absence of a filler to remove dust; d) introducing the syngas from the Venturi scrubber to a wet electrical dust precipitator for conducting dust removal and tar mist removal; and e) extracting the syngas by a coal gas draft fan, and transporting the syngas to a wet gas tank for storage or to a downstream process for use.

Method of purification of biomass syngas under negative pressure

A method for purifying biomass syngas under a positive pressure. The method includes: 1) aerating a pyrolysis gasifier by using an oxidation fan; 2) introducing syngas produced in the pyrolysis gasifier through a water-cooling flue to a water-cooling quench tower; 3) introducing the syngas from the water-cooling quench tower to a waste heat boiler of a water-tube type and a waste heat boiler of a heat-tube type; 4) introducing the syngas from the waste heat boiler of the heat-tube type to a Venturi scrubber in the absence of a filler to wash the syngas and remove dust; 5) introducing the syngas from the Venturi scrubber to a wet electrical dust precipitator for further removing the dust; and 6) transporting qualified syngas to a wet gas tank for storage or to a downstream process for use.
