A battery module, a device, and a failure handling method for a failed battery cell. The battery module includes: a battery cell arrangement structure, including a plurality of battery cells arranged along a length direction, where the battery cells include electrode terminals, and the battery cells include a failed battery cell; a box body, having an accommodation cavity in which the battery cell arrangement structure is located; a mounting beam, located in the accommodation cavity and at an end of the battery cell arrangement structure along the width direction; a pressing plate; and a conductive component, connected to a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal of the failed battery cell. The conductive component is easily connected to electrode terminals of a failed battery cell, so that a maintenance process can be simplified and maintenance costs can be reduced.

A battery module assembly, a battery pack, and a device using a battery as a power source are provided. The battery module assembly includes: at least two battery modules arranged along a first direction, each of the battery modules including a plurality of battery cells, and a shell side wall of the battery cell including two oppositely arranged first side walls and two oppositely arranged second side walls, an area of the first side wall being larger than that of the second side wall, and the first side wall being perpendicular to the first direction; and a cooling plate arranged between two adjacent battery modules, and configured to perform heat exchange with the first side walls of the battery cells of the two adjacent battery modules. The battery pack includes the battery module assembly. The device using a battery as a power source includes the battery pack.

The handling method includes: injecting a conductive material into a failed battery cell, where the conductive material is in a molten state when being injected, and is in a solid state after cooling, and the conductive material is configured to electrically connect a positive terminal and a negative terminal of the failed battery cell.

The plurality of battery units are arranged in a horizontal direction, where each battery unit includes a plurality of batteries stacked in a vertical direction, the plurality of batteries include a first battery and a second battery, the first battery and the second battery each include a first electrode terminal, a second electrode terminal, and an explosion-proof piece. A busbar assembly electrically connects the plurality of battery units, where the busbar assembly includes a first busbar connected to the first electrode terminal and the second electrode terminal. In a first direction perpendicular to the vertical direction and the horizontal direction, the first busbar includes a first weak zone that at least partially overlaps with the explosion-proof piece of the first battery.

The battery module includes: at least two battery cells; a connecting piece configured to electrically connect two battery cells of at least two battery cells; and a protective layer including a first protective portion configured to cover the connecting piece. A melting point of the first protective portion is greater than that of the connecting piece.
