An electrical plug connector includes an insulating body, terminals, and a shielding spring member. The terminals include multiple high-speed terminals. Each of the terminals has a docking end to connect to another electrical receptacle connector along an insertion direction. The shielding spring member, partially stacked on the insulating body, includes a sheet-like body, a hollow portion, two first shielding spring fingers, and a second shielding spring finger connected sequentially to form the hollow portion that covers the docking ends of the terminals. The docking end of each of the high-speed terminals relative to an edge between the first shielding spring finger and the hollow portion has a first distance. Each of the docking ends of the remaining terminals relative to an edge between the second shielding spring finger and the hollow portion has a second distance. The first distance is greater than the second distance.

An electrical connector for soldering with a cable is provided. The electrical connector includes an insulating body, a plurality of terminals, and a metallic shell. The terminals are disposed in the insulating body and arranged in a lateral direction. Each of the terminals has a clip section, a connecting section, and a soldering section. The metallic shell is assembled to the insulating body to form an interface of the electrical connector for connecting to another electrical connector, the clip section is close to the interface, the soldering section is away from the interface, and the cable is soldered to the soldering section of at least one of the terminals in the lateral direction.

Electrical connector

An electrical receptacle connector is enclosed by an outer shell. The outer shell includes a rear covering plate, side plates, and top plates. Two turned portions are at two sides of the rear covering plate. The side plates outwardly extend from the turned portions, respectively. Each of the top plates is bent from a top portion of the corresponding side plate and extends away from the corresponding side plate. The rear covering plate and the side plates are integrally formed as a one-piece member. Hence, the steps of manufacturing process for the connector can be reduced, the production of defective products can be reduced, and the structural strength of the connector can be improved. Moreover, numbers of holes or cracks between the rear covering plate and each of the side plates can be reduced, thereby reducing the EMI issue.

Electrical receptacle connector

An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated member, plug terminals, and grounding members. The insulated member is in the metallic shell. The plug terminals are held in the insulated member. The grounding members and the insulated member are molded as a one-piece member, thereby reducing the production steps as well as reducing production of defect products. Moreover, the first curved contact portion extends toward the metallic shell and effectively contacts the metallic shell, and the second curved contact portion extends toward the ground terminal and effectively contacts the ground terminal.

An electrical connector assembly including an electrical connector and a circuit board is provided. The electrical connector has a metallic plate and a plurality of terminals. The metallic plate separates the terminals into two different areas. The metallic plate has a first lateral surface. The circuit board is assembled to the electrical connector. The circuit board has a plurality of pads, a second lateral surface, and top and bottom surfaces opposite to each other. The pads are disposed on the top and bottom surfaces respectively. The second lateral surface is boarded between the top and bottom surfaces. The circuit board further includes at least one grounding circuit exposed from the second lateral surface and facing toward the first lateral surface. The metallic plate is electrically conducted to the grounding circuit by the first lateral surface when the circuit board is assembled to the electrical connector.

Electrical connector assembly and electrical connector

An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell, a first insulated housing, a second insulated housing, a first terminal module, and a second terminal module. The first terminal module includes the first terminals and the first assembling block combined with each other to form a one-piece member, and then the first insulated housing is further combined with the first terminal module. The second terminal module includes the second terminals and the second assembling block combined with each other to form a one-piece member, and then the second insulated housing is further combined with the second terminal module. The four-piece component is assembled into the metallic shell. Accordingly, the number of the components for manufacturing the connector can be reduced, thereby simplifying the assembling procedure for the connector.

Electrical plug connector

An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell, a first insulated housing in the metallic shell, and a second insulated housing in the metallic shell. The first tail portions of the first terminals are divided into a first tail group and a second tail group. The second insulated housing and the first insulated housing are combined with each other. Each of the second terminals includes a second tail portion between the first tail group and the second tail group. The second tail portions and the first tail portions are aligned at a same horizontal height.

A dual-row cable structure is applied to a first circuit board and a second circuit board. A board-to-board connector is on the first circuit board, and the first circuit board includes a first group of contacts and a second group of contacts. An electrical connector is on the second circuit board. The second circuit board includes a third group of contacts and a fourth group of contacts. The dual-row cable structure includes a wire assembly including high-speed signal wires, low-speed signal wires, one or more power wires, and one or more ground wires. The high-speed signal wires are connected to the first group of contacts. The low-speed signal wires, the power wire, and the ground wire are respectively connected to the second group of contacts. The third group of contacts and the fourth group of contacts are respectively connected to the other end of the wire assembly.

Dual-row cable structure

An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell and first and second insulated housings in the metallic shell. An insertion cavity is between an inner side of an assembly of the first insulated housing and the second insulated housing. The first terminals, from right to left, include a rightmost first ground terminal, a pair of first high-speed signal terminals, a first power terminal, a first function detection terminal, a pair of first low-speed signal terminals, and a leftmost first ground terminal. First flexible contact portions of the first terminals are in the insertion cavity. The second terminals, from right to left, include a second power terminal, a pair of second high-speed signal terminals, and a second power terminal. Second flexible contact portions of the second terminals are in the insertion cavity.

A shielding member includes a frame body and an outer cover. Two sides of a first end of the frame body respectively include a first shaft portion. Two sides of the frame body respectively include a first side plate. The frame body is covered by the outer cover. Two sides of a first end of the outer cover respectively include a second shaft portion, and each of the second shaft portions is pivotally connected to the corresponding first shaft portion. Two sides of the outer cover respectively include a second side plate, and each of the second side plates covers an outer side of the corresponding first side plate. Accordingly, the frame body and the outer cover are assembled to form a one-piece metallic shielding member. The structure of the shielding member is simple, the manufacturing for the shielding member is easy, and the cost for manufacturing the shielding member is reduced.

Shielding member

An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, a power terminal group, and a signal terminal group received in the metallic shell. Each terminal of the power terminal group includes a first contact portion, a second contact portion, and a positioning plate that are formed as a clamp structure. The first contact portion extends from an upper portion of the positioning plate and is above the insertion cavity of the insulated housing. The second contact portion extends from a lower portion of the positioning plate and is below the insertion cavity of the insulated housing. Each terminal of the signal terminal group is side-by-side arranged with the corresponding terminal of the power terminal group. A cross-sectional area of each terminal of the signal terminal group is less than a cross-sectional area of the corresponding terminal of the power terminal group.

An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing in the metallic shell, plug terminals held in the insulated housing, and a hook member. Hook portions of the hook member extend into the insertion cavity of the insulated housing. Each hook portion forms a first positioning portion and a second positioning portion. When the electrical plug connector is mated with an electrical receptacle connector, the electrical plug connector can be positioned with the electrical receptacle connector through multiple contacts, thereby preventing the electrical plug connector from shaking.

An electrical plug connector includes a first terminal module, a second terminal module, and a metallic contact member. The first terminal module and the second terminal module are received in a metallic shell. The metallic contact member is between the first terminal module and the second terminal module. The metallic contact member separates the first terminal module from the second terminal module. Moreover, two ends of the metallic contact member are respectively in contact with the ground terminals of the first plug terminals or in contact with the ground terminals of the second plug terminals.
