An antenna system for improved satellite communication with a ground-based terminal device includes a first antenna, a feeding point, and a phase modulation unit. The first antenna is on a surface of a back cover of the terminal device, and the first antenna comprises a plurality of radiation units in an array. The feeding point feeds power and signals to the first antenna. The phase modulation unit can adjust the transmission phase of the different radiation units within the first antenna. The present disclosure also provides a wireless terminal.

An antenna structure includes a metal frame. The metal frame includes a first gap, a second gap, a third gap, and a fourth gap to separate a first antenna, a second antenna, a third antenna, and a fourth antenna from the metal frame. The metal frame includes a fifth antenna. The first antenna, the second antenna, the third antenna, and the fourth antenna cooperatively form a first multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna to provide a 4&#xd7;4 multiple-input multiple-output function in a second frequency band. The first antenna, the second antenna, the third antenna, and the fifth antenna cooperatively form a second MIMO antenna to provide a 4&#xd7;4 multiple-input multiple-output function in a third frequency band. The first antenna and the third antenna cooperatively form a third MIMO antenna to provide a 2&#xd7;2 multiple-input multiple-output function in a first frequency band.

Antenna structure

An antenna structure includes a metallic frame and a stub antenna. The metallic frame defines a slot and two gaps. The two gaps are positioned at two ends of the slot and are substantially perpendicular to the slot. The metallic frame is divided into a first portion and a second portion by the slot and the two gaps. A portion of the metallic frame surrounded by the slot and the two gaps forms the first portion. The first portion serves as a radiator of the antenna structure and is grounded through the second portion. The stub antenna is positioned at an interior of the metallic frame and is spaced from the radiator.

Antenna structure and wireless communication device using same

An antenna structure which is switchable between low, middle, and high frequencies includes a metal housing, a feed portion, a resonance portion, and a connecting portion. The metal housing includes a front frame, a backboard, and a side frame. The side frame defines a slot and the front frame defines a first gap and a second gap. The slot, the first gap, and the second gap separate a continuous antenna portion from the metal housing. The feed portion is electrically connected to the antenna portion for feeding current to the antenna portion. One end of the resonance portion is electrically connected to a first location of the antenna portion and another end grounded. One end of the connecting portion is electrically connected to a second location of the antenna portion and another end is electrically connected to the resonance portion.

An antenna structure includes a housing, a first connecting portion, a matching unit, a second connecting portion, and a first switching circuit. The housing defines a slot, a first gap, and a second gap. The housing is divided into a first portion and a second portion by the slot, the first gap, and the second gap. The second portion is grounded. One end of the first connecting portion electrically connected to the first portion and another end of the first connecting portion electrically connected to a feed point through the matching unit. The first portion is divided into a first radiating portion and a second radiating portion by the first connecting portion. One end of the second connecting portion is electrically connected to the first radiating portion and another end of the second connecting portion is grounded through the first switching circuit.

An antenna structure includes a housing, a first feed portion, a first ground portion, and a second ground portion. The housing defines a slot, a first groove, and a gap. The housing is divided into a first portion and a second portion by the slot, the first groove, and the gap. The first portion is further divided into a first radiating portion and a second radiating portion by the first feed portion. A first portion of the housing extending from the first feed portion to the first gap forms the first radiating portion. A second portion of the housing extending from the first feed portion to the groove forms the second radiating portion. The second radiating portion is shorter than the second portion. The second portion is shorter than the first radiating portion. The first portion activates a first operation mode and the second portion activates a second operation mode.

A multi-band antenna including a ground plane, a radiation element, a first extension element and a second extension element is provided. The radiation element includes a first portion and a second portion electrically connected with each other. The first portion has a feeding point. The first and the second extension elements are extended from the ground plane. The first extension element and the first portion are spaced by a first coupling distance. The second extension element and the second portion are spaced by a second coupling distance. The multi-band antenna is operated in a first band through the radiation element. A feeding signal from the radiation element excites the first and the second extension elements through the first and the second coupling distances so that the multi-band antenna is operated further in a second band and a third band.

Multi-band antenna

An electronic device having a radiation part and a metallic frame is provided. The radiation part is L-shaped, and includes a feeding branch and an open branch. The metallic frame includes a first metallic part and a second metallic part. The first metallic part is L-shaped, wherein a first side of the first metallic part is near the open branch of the radiation part, and a first gap exists therebetween. The second metallic part is L-shaped, wherein an open terminal of a first side of the second metallic part is aligned with an open terminal of the first side of the first metallic part, and a second gap exists therebetween. The radiation part and the metallic frame forms an antenna to transceive a plurality of radio frequency signals.

Electronic device

A wireless communication device including an antenna element and a resonant divider is provided. The antenna element has a resonant path so that an operation frequency of the antenna element covers a first band and a second band. The resonant divider is electrically connected to the antenna element and provides a current path connected in parallel with a part of the resonant path. The resonant divider delays a current flowing through the current path so that the antenna element is incapable of covering an interval band between the first band and the second band.

Wireless communication device

An antenna includes a first antenna portion, a second antenna portion, a third antenna portion, a feed portion, and a ground portion. The first antenna portion perpendicularly connects to the feed portion and the ground portion. The second antenna portion connects to the first antenna portion. The third antenna portion connects to the feed portion. The first antenna portion and the second antenna portion are both located on a plane perpendicular to the feed portion. The feed portion, the ground portion, and the third antenna portion are coplanar.

Antenna module

An antenna module includes a support and an antenna. The support includes an upper surface and has a through hole defined in a middle of the upper surface. The antenna includes a feed unit, a first radiator unit, and a second radiator unit. One end of the feed unit is positioned on the upper surface. The other end of the feed unit passes through the through hole, and extends and attaches to a surface opposite to the upper surface. The first radiator unit and the second radiator unit are both connected to the end of the feed unit positioned on the upper surface, and both extend away from the feed unit.
