Herein disclosed is a device for testing batteries as subjects and a method thereof. The battery testing device comprises a power supply module and a short-circuit sensing module. The power supply module is configured to provide a first testing voltage or a first testing current. The short-circuit sensing module, coupled with the power supply module, is configured to integrate the first testing voltage or current during a first testing period, thereby calculating a first output energy provided by the power supply module. The short-circuit sensing module also determines whether the first output energy exceeds a predetermined energy range; when the range is exceeded, the same module generates an error signal. Wherein the short-circuit sensing module generates an error count by calculating during a second testing period the number of times the short-circuit sensing module generates the error signal.

Battery testing device and method thereof

A battery simulator for simulating the status of a battery connected to a load component includes a controllable current source, a voltage detector, and a gain controller. The controllable current source supplies an output current to the load component according to a current control signal. The voltage detector measures a detection voltage that is generated in response to the output current flowing through the load component. The gain controller is electrically connected to the controllable current source and the voltage detector and generates the current control signal according to a voltage control signal, a gain control signal and the detection voltage.

Device for simulating rectified constant impedance load and method thereof

An electronic load device provided for testing an OT (power supply to be tested) and the working bandwidth is regulated and set according to the output impedance of the OT. The electronic load device comprises a CPU, an impedance-bandwidth table, a voltage-current measurement unit, a power stage and a control module. Firstly, a current pulled out from the OT to the power stage is called by the CPU. Thereafter, an output impedance of the OT is measured by the voltage-current measurement unit and analysis by the CPU. Next, a working bandwidth of the electronic load device is regulated and set by the control module according to the output impedance and the impedance-bandwidth table.
