A control method is introduced to operate an ACF power converter under a non-complimentary mode. A high-side switch is turned ON at least twice within a switching cycle of a low-side switch, to provide at least two high-side ON times. One of the high-side ON times follows the end of demagnetization time of a transformer in the ACF power converter, and the other follows the end of the blanking time that controls the maximum switching frequency of the low-side switch.

Control method in use of active-clamp flyback power converter

A driving controller for driving a transistor, includes an operation unit, a first adjustment unit, a second adjustment unit, a first comparator, a comparison unit. A first terminal of the transistor receives an operation voltage. The operation unit is coupled to a control terminal of the transistor. The first adjustment unit is used to increase a voltage of the control terminal of the transistor. The second adjustment unit is used to decrease the voltage of the control terminal of the transistor. The first comparator and the comparison unit are coupled to the first terminal of the transistor and used to compare the operation voltage with a first reference voltage to a third reference voltage respectively so that the transistor may be controlled accordingly.

Driving controller capable of dynamically adjusting voltage at control terminal of transistor

A control circuit includes a set of alternating-current (AC) power receiver terminals, a rectification unit, a transistor, a switch, a detection unit, a comparison unit and a logic control circuit. The AC power receiver terminals receive and send external AC power to the rectification unit. The rectification unit outputs an operation voltage accordingly. The transistor is coupled between the rectification unit and the switch. The detection unit is coupled to the rectification unit to generate a first detection voltage and a second detection voltage according to the operation voltage. When the first detection signal is equal to the second detection signal, the comparison unit sends a comparison signal. The logic control circuit turns on the transistor and the switch if the comparison signal still has not been received after a predetermined time interval has elapsed.

A system for dynamically controlling over voltage protection includes a voltage detection circuit, an over voltage protection reference signal output circuit, and an over voltage control signal output circuit. The voltage detection circuit is used for detecting a voltage and outputting a sampled voltage according to the voltage. The over voltage protection reference signal output circuit is coupled to the voltage protection circuit for generating an over voltage protection reference signal according to the sampled voltage and a voltage feedback signal. The over voltage control signal output circuit is coupled to the voltage detection circuit and the over voltage protection reference signal output circuit for generating an over voltage control signal according to the sampled voltage and the over voltage protection reference signal.

System for dynamically controlling an operation of over voltage protection and a voltage converter

A defibrillator device is provided. The defibrillator device includes a first electrode, a second electrode, a readout module, a USB interface, a voltage converter and a stimulation module. When the first and second electrodes contact the chest of a patient, the readout module obtains a physiologic rhythm signal of the patient and provides a heart rhythm signal according to the first physiologic rhythm signal. According to a first voltage from a portable electronic device, the voltage converter generates a second voltage when the first USB interface is coupled to the portable electronic device, wherein the second voltage is larger than the first voltage. When the physiologic rhythm signal indicates that cardiac arrhythmia is present in the patient, the stimulation module provides an electric shock energy to the chest of the patient via the first and second electrodes according to the second voltage.

Defibrillator device

The power management integrated circuit has a startup circuit, a switch controller and a standby controller. Powered by a power source, the startup circuit provides electric power to an operational power source during a startup period. The switch controller controls a power switch to store or release energy in an energy conversion unit. Powered by the power source, the standby controller receives a standby signal. When the standby signal is asserted, the standby controller disables the startup circuit and the switch controller, thereby startup circuit not providing electric power to the operational power source and the switch controller continuously turning off the power switch.

Power management integrated circuit and power management method

A light emitting module driver circuit utilized for driving a light emitting module includes a voltage dividing module, a short circuit detection module, and a driving module. A method of performing short circuit protection in the light emitting module driver circuit includes disabling the driving module during a dimming off cycle of the light emitting module driver circuit, enabling the voltage dividing module during the dimming off cycle, dividing a voltage of the light emitting module to generate a divided voltage during the dimming off cycle, and generating a short circuit protection signal according to the divided voltage during the dimming off cycle.

Light emitting module driving circuit and related method

An adaptive dead-time controller is provided to improve a conversion efficiency of a power converter at a low/no load condition. The adaptive dead-time controller has a reference voltage generator, an error amplifier, a comparator, an oscillator, an adaptive dead-time generator and a flip-flop. The adaptive dead-time controller outputs a gate pulse according to an output voltage and an oscillation. When power converter is at a low/no load condition, the adaptive dead-time generator delays a rising edge of an oscillation signal by a dead-time from a rising edge of a clock signal, so the frequency of the gate pulse and the power consumption of the power converter are reduced.

Adaptive dead-time controller

This specification discloses a adaptive dual-slope frequency controller for adjusting power conversion of a power supply. The converter can adjust its operating frequency according to the status of a load device. A feedback voltage, representing the load status, is used to control two pairs of charging/discharging currents of a storage capacitor in the present controller, thereby controlling the period of the voltage waveform at the capacitor. This controller can especially lower the frequency of the gate pulse of power supply to improve the overall efficiency at light load and no load.

Adaptive dual-slope frequency controller for adjusting power conversion

This invention relates to an AC power network for collecting the electric powers of distributed power cells. The AC power network of the invention includes a plurality of AC power cells, a plurality of transmission lines, and at least one resistant load. The AC power network has important properties, such as simple structure and easy setup and maintenance. In addition, when there is non-uniform distribution among AC power cells or some AC power cells are broken down, the AC power network possesses equal potential rings or equal potential planes to eliminating non-uniform distribution without decreasing its power efficiency.
