A projection apparatus includes an illumination system, a prism assembly, a first light valve, a second light valve and a projection lens. The illumination system includes a blue light emitting element, a red light emitting element, a wavelength conversion device, a dichroic assembly, a first light diffusing element and a second light diffusing element. The second light diffusing element has a diffusion area and a non-diffusion area. The diffusion area is located on a transmission path of a blue beam from the dichroic assembly, and the non-diffusion area is located on a transmission path of a green beam from the dichroic assembly. The prism assembly has a dichroic film. The dichroic film is configured to transmit a red beam to the first light valve. The dichroic film is configured to transmit the green beam and the blue beam to the second light valve.

Projection apparatus

A filter module and a projection apparatus are provided. The filter module includes a filter layer and a diffusion layer. The filter layer includes a first filter region and a second filter region, which respectively allow light having a first waveband and light having a second waveband to pass through. The diffusion layer is disposed on a side of the filter module opposite to the filter layer and includes a first diffusion portion with a first haze value and a second diffusion portion with a second haze value. The first diffusion portion is disposed corresponding to the first filter region and allows the light having the first waveband to pass through. The second diffusion portion is disposed corresponding to the second filter region and allows the light having the second waveband to pass through. The first haze value is different from the second haze value.

Filter module and projection apparatus

The disclosure relates to a projection device and a color gamut switching method thereof. The projection device includes a light source, a wavelength conversion element, an optical engine module, a projection lens module, and a filter element. The light source is configured to emit a first light beam. The wavelength conversion element is disposed on a transmission path of the first light beam, and the wavelength conversion element is configured to convert the first light beam into a second light beam. The optical engine module is disposed on a transmission path of the second light beam from the wavelength conversion element. The optical engine module is configured to convert the second light beam to form an image beam. The projection lens module is disposed on a transmission path of the image beam from the optical engine module. The filter element is removably disposed on the transmission path of the second light beam or the image beam.

Projection device and color gamut switching method thereof

An illumination system, including a light source module, a phosphor wheel, a light recycling element, and a light uniformizing element, is provided. The light source module emits an excitation light beam. The phosphor wheel includes a phosphor region. At a second timing, the other part of the excitation light beam transmitted to the phosphor region forms an unconverted light beam and is transmitted to the light recycling element, and is reflected by the light recycling element to form a recycled light beam. A part of the recycled light beam is converted into a second converted light beam. A first converted light beam and the second converted light beam are transmitted to the light uniformizing element through a same path, so that the illumination system outputs second light in the illumination light beam. A projection apparatus is also provided.

Illumination system and projection apparatus

A projection apparatus includes an illumination system configured to output an illumination beam, a light valve and a projection lens. The illumination system includes a laser light source configured to emit a laser beam and a wavelength conversion element. A first region of the wavelength conversion element includes at least one first and second optical function region. In a first sub-time interval, the first optical functional region guides the laser beam to a first position with a first optical path, wherein the light valve is located at the first position. In the second sub-time interval, the second optical functional region guides the laser beam to a second position with a second optical path, wherein the second position is different from the first position. The projection apparatus of the present invention has good image quality.

Projection apparatus including an illumination system, a light valve and a projection lens

An illumination system and a projection apparatus are provided. The illumination system includes a coherent light source, an optical module, and a first light-diffusing device. The coherent light source emits a coherent light beam. The optical module and the first light-diffusing device are located on a transmission path of the coherent light beam. The optical module has an optical surface and a light-diffusing surface, and the coherent light beam focuses on a first position through the optical surface of the optical module. The first light-diffusing device is located at the first position or in vicinity of the first position. The coherent light beam passes through the first light-diffusing device so that a diffusion angle of the coherent light beam is sequentially changed. A display frame exhibiting a uniform luminance is thereby provided by the illumination system and the projection apparatus of the invention.

An illumination system is configured to provide an illumination beam. The illumination system includes at least one light source, a composite unit and an actuator. The at least one light source is configured to provide at least one light beam. The composite unit includes a diffusion surface and an optical surface opposite to each other, wherein the composite unit is disposed on a transmission path of the at least one light beam and configured to enable the at least one light beam to pass through. An illumination system including a laser light source module, a wavelength conversion module and a control module is provided. The laser light source module simultaneously emits a first and second laser light beams, where a peak wavelength of the first laser light beam is greater than that of the second laser light beam. The control module is connected to the laser light source module and the wavelength conversion module, respectively. In a first time interval, the control module controls an amount of luminous flux of the first laser light beam to be greater than an amount of luminous flux of the second laser light beam. In a second time interval, the control module controls the amount of luminous flux of the first laser light beam to be smaller than the amount of luminous flux of the second laser light beam. Illumination system, projection apparatus and illumination control method

An optical element disposed between a light homogenizing element and a converging lens is provided. The optical element includes at least two regions. The at least two regions include a first region and a second region. The first region and the second region respectively adjust focus positions of a first beam formed through the first region and a second beam formed through the second region to substantially the same position. The first beam and the second beam have different wavelengths, and the first region and the second region meet at least one of the following conditions: the thicknesses of the first region and the second region are different; and the refractive indices of the first region and the second region are different. A projection apparatus including the optical element is also provided.

An illumination system including a first excitation light source, a wavelength conversion wheel, and a filter wheel is provided. The first excitation light source is configured to emit a first excitation beam. The wavelength conversion wheel includes a wavelength conversion region and a first optical region. The wavelength conversion region and the first optical region alternately enter a transmission path of the first excitation beam. The first excitation beam is converted into a conversion beam by the wavelength conversion region when the wavelength conversion region enters the transmission path of the first excitation beam. The filter wheel includes a first region, a second region, and a blocking region. An angle covered by the second region in a circumferential direction is smaller than an angle covered by the first optical region. A projection apparatus is also provided.

A wavelength-converting wheel has a light incident side. The wavelength-converting wheel includes a motor, a turntable, a wavelength-converting layer and a reflective element. The motor has a rotating shaft. The turntable has an inner ring portion and an annular irradiation portion. The inner ring portion is sleeved on the rotating shaft, the annular irradiation portion is connected to an outer edge of the inner ring portion, and the annular irradiation portion includes a light-reflecting region and a wavelength-converting region. The wavelength-converting layer is disposed in the wavelength-converting region and has a light receiving surface facing the light incident side. The reflective element is disposed in the light-reflecting region and has a reflective surface facing the light incident side. The light receiving surface is coplanar with the reflective surface or the light receiving surface is farther from the light incident side with respect to the reflective surface.

Wavelength-converting wheel and projection apparatus

An illumination system includes a coherent light source, a first light-combining device, an optical wavelength conversion module, and a first auxiliary light source. The coherent light source emits a coherent light beam. The first light-combining device is disposed on a transmission path of the coherent light beam. The light wavelength conversion module is disposed on a transmission path of the coherent light beam transmitted from the first light-combining device and converts the coherent light beam into a first converted light beam, and reflects the first converted light beam back to the first light-combining device. A projector and an illumination system thereof are provided. The illumination system includes an excitation light source group, a phosphor wheel, a light combiner element and a first lens group. The excitation light source group provides a first beam and has a first optical axis. The phosphor wheel has a reflection region and a wavelength conversion region. The light combiner element is disposed between the excitation light source group and the phosphor wheel and has a dichroic portion and a reflection portion. The first lens group is disposed between the light combiner element and the phosphor wheel. The first lens group has a second optical axis. The illumination system is provided in the projector to reduce the number of optical elements, thereby reducing the cost and volume.

An illumination system including a first laser light source, a diffusion sheet and a light integration rod is provided. The first laser light source is configured to generate a first laser beam. The diffusion sheet is located on a transmission path of the first laser beam. The light integration rod has a light entering surface and a light exiting surface. The diffusion sheet is located between the first laser light source and the light integration rod. The first laser beam from the diffusion sheet enters the light integration rod through the light entering surface and exits the light integration rod through the light exiting surface. The light integration rod is adapted to convert the first laser beam to an illumination beam. The area of the light entering surface is larger than the area of the light exiting surface. A projection apparatus is also provided.
